multiplayer is broken. no one can get past the "joining world" stage.

I've played space engineers for years with many mods. I added 8 more to total about 90 for a multiplayer playthrough. Took us 3 days and many hours to finally figure out this was the culprit. No one can load into my multiplayer game with this mod...... game runs fun with all my other mods like SE always has.

that's normal, it's because the heightmap is 4096px instead of 2048px. It doesn't matter, you can ignore it.

no, the water mod doesn't change voxels, it just adds water on top. without it, there just won't be water, only the oceanbed

To change which ores spawn, how deep and how thick the veins are, you only need to change stuff in the planets data file, very easy. To change where they spawn, or how big they are, you need to change the oremap, not quite so easy.

the seed really doesn't change much, the terrain is always gonna be the same, it's only for the position of trees and some other not so important stuff.

yeah right, if you want to upload an edited version you also have to remove the modinfo and metadata.mod files

yeah just make a copy of the mod folder steamapps\workshop\content\244850\2603627657 to your local mod folder AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Mods and scale down all maps to 2048px, should work no problem. That res is too low for the rivers to appear properly though, which is why I made another version with 2k heightmaps and the water mod

Is there any way I could change the height map in the mod files so the planet works on multiplayer? I wouldn't post it just use it with my friends.

If anyone have pink grass: add Teal (without water mod) to mod list just below the Teal - Water Mod version. I tried different mod priorities and configurations but adding Teal Water Mod version helped with the issue.

Making it smaller actually increases detail in the terrain, so yeah, you totally can. However, ofc mountains will be a bit less impressive and the ore depots will shrink in size but increase in density. Since they are larger and less numerous compared to vanilla planets, that won't be a big deal though I think.

Is it possible to decrease the size of this planet from 120KM down to maybe 60 without ruining the way it looks? 120 is what I have my gas giants as.

I would have to remove the rivers, because the resolution wouldn't be good enough anymore and they were pretty much the whole reason I made this planet, so I don't think I will

Yeah I cant play multiplayer on this planet, whenever its in my world my friend cant join. I tried the water mod one but its too laggy and does not look good (because the water mod textures are def lacking). Is there some way you can make a version with a lower height-map (like around 2k. If not, then I understand

That's a known bug, it only happens to some people though. It always worked fine for me. The reason is most likely the 4k heightmap, which is necessary for the rivers to look somewhat decent. The water mod version of teal has a 2k heightmap and doesn't seem to cause this bug.

The trees are just the vanilla trees with different textures really, I basically just copied over all the files and switched out the textures for my own. Doesn't override the vanilla trees for some reason. I don't actually know how to make real custom trees lol
The rocks I made in blender, took me a long time and a lot of messing about to get something out though. I don't think I could explain that well enough tbh. But they're basically the same as bushes plus a collision model that I snatched from some random existing blocks cause I don't know how to make them myself. It updates in existing worlds. Only thing that doesn't update when changed is gravity, meaning you can actually edit it in the world save file if you want to.

I just took a look at it and there's indeed an issue there. The colors of the ore veins in the map are sometimes off a bit, so they don't spawn. I think I fucked that up with the last update. I wanted to change the oremap anyways though. Just give me an hour or so, I'll make a new and better oremap that works properly.

i know that they are randomly scattered. I use a mod for the ore detector which gives 1200m range and scanned 2 difrent tours araund the planet. The first one around the equator, second from north to south pole. I found all ores, exept nickel and magnesium, in large numbers. Makes me wonder how rare these are.

The ores are scattered randomly across the surface, so not really. Nickel and magnesium are the rarest ones though. But for nickel you could just build a stone quarry, no? Also there's slightly fewer ores on the poles and none in the ocean.
