This map does does its own thign when generating the land and does not use Oval/Pangea/Continents presets.

If I pick Oval map type with this will it give a map similar to the one in the picture? Or is that default for Pangea or Continents?

This is a really interesting map since it's varied but also fairly clustered. I tried playing 10 players 20 CS's on standard and it's so clustered that even the Korean's have invaded a city-state for land. Probably not the right way to play it, but I'll get a lot of play out of this generator. Thank you muchly.

Yeah, they should spawn, mod only generates the terrain.
rlarssonenberg 27 Jul, 2016 @ 11:26am
Sorry, I was impatient and wrong. Barbarians do spawn, Really enjoying yor mapmaking so far!
rlarssonenberg 27 Jul, 2016 @ 11:20am
Great map script! Although I seem to find no barbarians on this map, has that happened to anyone else? Could it be the barbarians evolved mod that's stoping them from appearing?

BEST MAP EVER!
Can you add some small islands for indonesia?
Tortes 30 Sep, 2014 @ 2:33pm
Very nice map! But a bit too much mountains for me. Is it possible?

Would like it in giant size 200x200 or so :)
Everyone  [author] 2 Aug, 2014 @ 10:12am
You might get better experience by reducing a number of civs when starting a game, because the number of mountains reduces the land a lot compared to the default maps!
Tzyder 26 May, 2014 @ 5:16pm
Any way to reduce # of mountains
Torgo 7 May, 2014 @ 6:51pm

have not gone back to finish game I was playing with this mod because my start location confined me to the inner waters and after a few turns other civs locked me in by their own expansion. i suppose a domination approach would work but it is not usually my intial style of play, which is to evolve scientifically and culturally as much as possible so as to establish a base for the domination to come while defending against all attacks. in this map script one finds oneself confined too soon and too easily by other civs. not a bad thing if you want to play in a different style that plays well with this script.

@Victor_Marik When playing mods sometimes you need to restart your game to make sure everything works smoothly. Other than tha just play it through the modded single player window and you're good to go.
Victor_Marik 23 Apr, 2014 @ 6:52pm
I subscribed to this mod. Do I need to do anything special to use it, or just play Civ V?
SchuP 23 Apr, 2014 @ 3:38am
@Aaron... I think that's the point of calling himself blackfish then ^^ Mybe he doesn't like the Tullys :warhorse: btw: Game of Thrones FTW ^^ The royal cunt is dead!
Clarke 23 Apr, 2014 @ 2:03am
@ Blackfish that is a White Fish of House Tully
mmm 22 Apr, 2014 @ 7:42pm
I subscribed but it's not showing up in the mods list/folder.
BLÀde 22 Apr, 2014 @ 6:48pm
tried it on huge map even on huge map it seems really small and confining? there really isn't much room for exploration pretty much once you have scouted the area your in it's either expand and build up an army very quickly to take your neighbors...or be boxed in. i did the 1st option :P
LushFuzzyTaco 22 Apr, 2014 @ 3:51pm
Great ! :)

Have played. Is good. Challenging in design. Yet, for me, it is confined, exploration by water is rather limited, especially when starting within the confines of the inner sea; circumnavigation is restricted at top and bottom as can be seen simply viewing map image. The apparent intricacies of the map's water routes are illusory once boundaries of competing civs are established. These are my observations and judgements, respectfully submitted. Notably I am playing this map for two days now and have not yet abandoned the game for another map or map script, altho I do favor the Tectonic maps and Legendary Earth, which are more navigable even late in the game, and offer what I see as a more infinitely variable set of possibilities--what I am trying to explain when I use the word confining to describe this map script.

Everyone  [author] 21 Apr, 2014 @ 11:19am
Yeah, I can. I also want to add more variation to the land.
BLÀde 21 Apr, 2014 @ 7:49am
