@Narada the animals do eat the forage, i have seen it but they will generally only do it if they dont have another source available and its also based on their hunger bar. I got a breeding pair of pigs in one run and they would eat up the fungi everynow and then. its a supplement to their diet but not a replacement, if they can eat grass or kibble they will go for that instead.

Yeah do they actually eat what they forage? I keep seeing chickens foraging pieces of insect meat but they just leave it there and I have to pick up the garbage lol

Please add options to customize how this mod works. I want to like it, but my animals hardly ever dig anything up, and what they do forage, they don't eat. I was hoping this would help me keep my animals from starving when resources are scarce. What point is there to it if it can't even do that?

I legit turned on this mod, a ancient coyote foraged bones, my colonist went to auto equip them and he got shitstomped by it. Any ideas to configure it so I can choose what animals forage?

a small problem i have with this mod to be honest is that the animals just do not actually eat their own food, instead eating grass. and/or i assume that the babies forage as much as the adults

"raw fish" from optimization meats doesn't get forbidden when foraged, so pawns waste a lot of time trying to haul fish from the entire map

@Simmin I am curious whether this mod would conflict with Optimization meats C# edition and Animals prefer grazing mods?

Not sure if this would cause a conflict as the first condenses meat (thus removing some of the meats the animals forage for) and the second changing animal eating preferences (possibly ignoring foraging behaviour).

I'm going to waste everybody's time here and tell you about a fact I learned: Fish eggs can survive duck digestion. That means, they're able to give fish to random isolated lakes out there just by pooping undigested fish eggs. Pretty neat right? duck shit.

Considering this mod depends on code made by sarg bjornson that is in VEF, it is a mandatory dependency. Also define "pollutes" its just a repository of code that other modders are fee to use, just like d9 framework or jesctools

Could you remove the hard dependency on Vannila Expanded Framework? It is a great mod, but I really dislike having VEF in my game, it pollutes everything.

Bug report: ducks are able to dig out raw fish out of the ground with no ponds on map. How cool is that?
