Bro the side smash is way too powerful it can kill at zero
SIMΩMEGA 3 Apr, 2021 @ 8:16am
Also the Jab with Meter doesn't connect most of the time.
SIMΩMEGA 30 Mar, 2021 @ 6:29am
He feels pretty broken in my opinion, dank character tho. Niiiice!
Worship 14 Feb, 2021 @ 7:32am
how do you get meter bruh
Projekt Red (Not Sean Lang) 14 Oct, 2020 @ 3:14pm
Love this, but can you remove the startup lag on Rising Tackle? I keep dying off the bottom from it.
Dust Man  [author] 19 Aug, 2020 @ 9:02pm
Dude I'm using official sprites from Garou. I touched them up literally as much as I can. I'm not a sprite artist. I put the sprites through a lot of processes to make them look as close to rivals as possible. I'm not remaking all of the sprites because of a foot pixel outline, dude.
Dust Man  [author] 19 Aug, 2020 @ 8:53am
Dude I did what I could with the character sprites I had, I'm not making new ones several months down the line when I've stopped working on the character. I also literally followed the color palette rules of ROA.
Dust Man  [author] 27 Feb, 2020 @ 1:14am
I've balanced and rebalanced this character several times dawg.
Succ 26 Feb, 2020 @ 7:05am
Are you interested in balancing this character?
Dust Man  [author] 28 Dec, 2019 @ 9:23am
Done.
Maggs 28 Dec, 2019 @ 5:25am
Also cos i forgot to say it in the first comment, love the character but i think Jab 1 is a serious issue that needs addressing.
Maggs 28 Dec, 2019 @ 5:24am
So uhhhh @author idk if you're aware, but Rock's Jab 1 might be in need of a slight tweak.

To put it simply, it has Smash 4 Prepatch Fox properties wherein it can basically inficombo into itself for at the best of times a free 28%, and at the worst of times a lvl 2 super

If you want to shoot me an invite, go for it, but I'll give you a fair warning, I'm probably not going to be all that active in it.
Succ 24 Dec, 2019 @ 9:43am
oh, so do you want to join the extended workshop? We host workshop tourneys and are currently accepting submissions
Dust Man  [author] 24 Dec, 2019 @ 4:57am
Nope. I'm in the official Rivals one but not active anymore.
Succ 23 Dec, 2019 @ 3:06pm
are you in the extended workshop discord server?
JCGemX 18 Dec, 2019 @ 11:25pm
Out of everyone on this workshop, I personally want you(based on how well you made Rock Howard) to make Sketch Turner from Comix Zone! and I want him designed the same way you designed Rock Howard (no pixelation plz).
Dust Man  [author] 8 Dec, 2019 @ 5:40pm
It's also one of the most telegraphed things and can be reflected because it's counted as a projectile IIRC.
Rykyuby 8 Dec, 2019 @ 1:26pm
dude rock is broken his side strong hit is good in damage but too OP in terms of knockback
Dust Man  [author] 5 Dec, 2019 @ 11:05am
It might be. Take it to training mode and try it out first. When you see the S or P at the bottom of the meter, hold attack down, then press side special while attack is being held.
Kyouji The BlackAce 5 Dec, 2019 @ 4:52am
Mhm. Is that what I need to do? I always let the attack connect first like it lands and I immediately hold attack. Is that what I've been doing wrong?
Dust Man  [author] 4 Dec, 2019 @ 10:40pm
You are holding attack while you press side special, correct?
Kyouji The BlackAce 4 Dec, 2019 @ 8:38pm
I'm doing the input from the description.
Dust Man  [author] 3 Dec, 2019 @ 3:16pm
Are you doing the actual input from Garou or are you doing the input in the description. Because I just tested the latter and it works fine.
Kyouji The BlackAce 3 Dec, 2019 @ 5:05am
So I've been trying to do Shine Knuckle but it never activates when I get the bar and do the input
MicroBlast# 29 Nov, 2019 @ 8:45pm
please work on iori next
Ruko 26 Nov, 2019 @ 2:39pm
Would you be interested in Krizalid at all?
Pippu? 11 Nov, 2019 @ 8:52pm
Alright, I get it
Dust Man  [author] 11 Nov, 2019 @ 6:13pm
A lot of the balancing for Rock is done and will stay as it is, though a lot of the moves you're citing do have benefits over other moves that you might be missing. The tips screen for Rock doesn't work properly like it should, but, for instance, F-Special's multiple paths can allow you to use it for confirms and starting up combos if used properly. Shine Knuckle's hitbox is wide and multihit, it exists mainly for damage. Raging Storm gives you a degree of invulnerability and, like in Garou, is mainly used to prevent approaches. It also can't be reflected.

I'll give you that Neo Deadly Rave change, though, and that was an oversight on my part. That said, life is hectic right now and updates will be a while.
Pippu? 11 Nov, 2019 @ 4:21pm
I love the fact that Garou is getting some love but Rock is ridiculously strong!
F-Air hits so fucking hard for a move that comes out so fast and it kills super low with that vicious angle
F-Smash is just insane knockback, neat that it can be reflected though
F-Special is neat but it hails in comparison to F-Air, why should I use it?
Shine Knuckle has a really weird and un-rewarding hitbox, I feel as though I'm inviting free punishes when I use it! It seems to trail BEHIND me rather than hit the opponent in front. In addition the start up is just cruel.
Neo Deadly Rave should start from Special while holding Attack, so I don't accidentally burn my meter when I just wanted a jab.
Raging Storm is awesome! But it just so slow, and when it has far less power than my F-Smash why should I bother?
Dust Man  [author] 8 Nov, 2019 @ 4:28pm
Alright, I'll rework the first hit of the jab at some point so it doesn't lock in.
Raikoh 7 Nov, 2019 @ 6:47pm
I don't really have friends or other players to test with, but I did just test it against an active Level 9 Zetterburn in a versus match. I don't know how well the AI attempts to escape are, though, and most of the time even if they escape they'll idiotically walk/jump back into the punch loop. Pretty much an assured Neo Deadly Rave after a point.
Dust Man  [author] 7 Nov, 2019 @ 6:21pm
Was this done in an actual match with the opponent actually attempting to get out of it, or was this done in training mode against a dummy that isn't moving.

Important to know.
Raikoh 7 Nov, 2019 @ 12:47am
I'll say this: if you carefully tap the initial Jab punch repeatedly without triggering the combo, you can basically trap an opponent for several seconds with way too much damage, even potentially being able to hit them repeatedly for over half the stage's length. It builds meter like crazy too, and can easily chain into the Supers for an assured KO.
Dust Man  [author] 27 Oct, 2019 @ 2:31pm
Attack. As in the one that isn't Special.
OniKingZantae 26 Oct, 2019 @ 11:49pm
what is A?
Dust Man  [author] 25 Oct, 2019 @ 1:27am
The main reason was because I didn't have a solid style finalized yet when programming the move. A lot of this character was trial and error and getting everything working took priority. I will be pushing an update to fix it eventually, when life calms down a bit.
Starlight Express 24 Oct, 2019 @ 10:56am
Having a lot of fun with this character, but as a little visuals question, any reason Reppuken's projectile doesn't have a black outline? It looks really "janky" without one.
meoowdy pardner 23 Oct, 2019 @ 3:42pm
Suggestion, add a smear on UStrong and NAir, they look kind of jarring, great mod though!
『aKu』ツ 15 Oct, 2019 @ 1:58pm
Yo this is such a cool character! Good job dude, super fun
Dust Man  [author] 14 Oct, 2019 @ 3:54pm
I try to prioritize accuracy of the moves before anything else. Shine Knuckle Lvl2/Shine Knuckle P has the strong hits at the end you are looking for.

Thank you for your feedback, though. I'll consider changing details if more people speak up about it.
A3RO 14 Oct, 2019 @ 3:20pm
just a bit of a recommendation (you don't have to add this) but I think it'd be a nice QoL change if you made up b have less hits on it and shine knuckle connect better with a strong hit at the end.
Dust Man  [author] 14 Oct, 2019 @ 3:14pm
I added it back in. Tested to make sure it wasn't doing the same thing. Even if the parry variant was causing it, I would only have removed the i-frames from it and not its existence entirely. Shift in most games Rock is in isn't totally invincible anyways. For now, though, it'll remain an invincible window.
Someone64 14 Oct, 2019 @ 12:33am
Does this mean you will no longer be removing FSPECIAL parry variant?
Dust Man  [author] 13 Oct, 2019 @ 11:43am
Alright, found what was causing it. There was a value not getting reset because of one bad line.
Dust Man  [author] 13 Oct, 2019 @ 11:37am
Could not replicate it myself, but I made adjustments to Crack Counter just to make sure it doesn't even have the remote possibility of happening.
Someone64 13 Oct, 2019 @ 12:08am
Update: You can replicate the bug without even being attack at all. Just spam DSPECIAL as quickly as possible and you will turn invincible. Did this in practice mode so the AI remained still while I did it. After I spammed it, i got the AI to attack me and it dealt no damage.
Someone64 13 Oct, 2019 @ 12:03am
I've replicated the bug without using the FSPECIAL dodge variant. I've also replicated it by using only DSPECIAL. I think both of them can cause the bug for some reason or it's something else entirely.
Dust Man  [author] 12 Oct, 2019 @ 9:36am
Or, alternatively, the parry variant will not have invincibility but will still get you around the enemy.
