Armor Block Variants (DX11)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Breaking News:
Scientists achieved a spectacular breakthrough in the field of crystallization of alloys and liquids. The newly invented process allows it to convert conventional ice in combination with nickel and cobalt into an extremely light and durable material. On itself the material can be used to create light but quite sturdy armor. When used to reinforce steel armor the produced compound is more resistant to damage than all know materials. This discovery opens up new possibilities in planet and space engineering. And… well, then… there is concrete, too.

Hello guys,

this little mod is based on some mods that add different variants to the existing armor blocks. As they have different properties and therefore different use cases, it gives us space engineers new options to build our constructs. By combining them I could balance them a bit more in regard to each other.
As I like the idea to give existing things a little bit more use, I added a component that uses ice as the main ingredient – a lot of ice. That way planets and moons get a bit of a buff, as it might be easier to get the needed, huge amount of ice there. On the other hand the new blocks are really nice for natural gravity, as the super light armor is beneficial for your crafts and the concrete blocks might come in handy to protect against orbital bombardment.
I tried to get the balance right. The super light blocks have the best structure/weight ration and the concrete blocks the worst. The HighTech armor gets a bit better than standard heavy armor.

So here some details:

Components:

Crystalline Plate:
1 Nickel
1Cobalt
20 Ice

Concrete Slab (10x):
5 Iron
200 Stone
400 Gravel

Super Light Armor Block:
24 Crystalline Plate
4 Small Tube
160 kg
1404 Structure

Cube HighTech Armor:
160 Steel Plate
100 Crystalline Plate
30 Small Tube
3920 kg
22050 Structure

Reinforced HighTech Armor:
380 Steel Plate
440 Crystalline Plate
15 Large Tube
10615 kg
63540 Structure

Concrete Armor Block:
6 Girder
100 Concrete Slab
10036 kg
