One Handed PsiJacks

Description
This mod introduces a new weapon designed specifically to solve the floaty/handheld Shard Gauntlet issue, present when they are paired with a Ballistic Shield. It is heavily inspired by Iridar's One Handed Templar Gauntlets, and uses a copy Iridar's modified animations from that mod.

To solve the issue, the mesh of the weapon is actually attached to the R_Claw socket on the right arm, and as such it needed a brand new mesh, I chose a heavily modified version of the Skulljack, based on work RustyDios and Drakten Hugues did in the past.

The Psijack, Infused Psijack and Energised Psijack are classified as Gauntlets, and have identical stats to their same tier Shard Gauntlets, the differences are purely cosmetic.


This mod is cooked.

Compatibility

Blutengel - The inspiration for this mod and I have included configs to make Psijacks it's default weapon.

Ballistic Shields - Psijacks are made to pair with them, but not required for use.

Psionics Ex Machina 3.2 - Supported via the newest update to PexM GEM Gauntlets.

Prototype Armoury - Natively Supported.

I have no plans to make any updates to the mod currently, as it fulfills it's intended purpose. Both of those things would take a significant amount of work.

Hey MrCloista, got too small questions to ask.

1. Is it possible to add the "Skulljack" effect (The Blue one) to be added to this as well, so it's a whole Psi-Jack/Skulljack looking thing, it'll be nice to have that as a option.

2. Is there a option to have "Two" Psi-jacks for people who want to get rid of the Templar Blades and just have the Psi-Jacks?

Good point, tbh I only use wsradditem these days personally anyway so I'd forgotten base additem command had that limitation

As someone who been through this situation - normal AddItem doesn't work (because it's an infinite item, or so I was told), you'll need to install Weapon Skin Replacer and use wsradditem

I didn't build with lwotc in mind (I play CI), so you may need to add config for their single build system, I'm not familiar with how it's different tbh.

are they supposed to appear after buying / researching the next stage of normal templar item?
i guess maybe it's a lwotc problem.. or some other problem. idk.

They load fine into the game and the default weapon for the Blutengel selects the Psiblade, but it's not actually there when selecting a weapon (I went back to the shard gauntlet by accident since i forgot I added this mod) even on Conventional; and i can't seem to find any purchasable psijack/blades in engineering.

note: this is mid-campaign and i'd already researched tempest gauntlets/t2 gauntlets to begin with. Maybe that's the problem... Just posting in case any users know anything

no idea, but bare in mine psijack is a Primary and swords are (usually) secondaries.
