[WOTC] Grenade Launchers Tweaks

Description
OVERVIEW
This is a very small mod that adds my personal tweaks to all grenade launchers and it is meant to be used with [WOTC] Superior Explosives and Beam Grenade Launcher.

Here are the tweaks made by this mod:
  • All grenade launchers grant +1 to explosion radius (no more scaling based on item tier)
  • Beam Grenade Launcher no longer uses the Blaster Launcher targeting method but it gets +1 to throwing range instead (for this reason, it no longer requires a Blaster Launcher)
  • Beam Grenade Launcher Schematic is now unlocked after completing the Andromedon Autopsy
  • Beam Grenade Launcher is now called Superior Grenade Launcher to be consistent with the Advanced Grenade Launcher
  • Added a fix to hide the Advanced Grenade Launcher Schematic if the Beam Grenade Launcher Schematic has been purchased

With this mod and Superior Explosives, the Andromedon Autopsy will grant access to tier 3 grenades and tier 3 grenade launchers. Similar to how the Muton Autopsy will grant access to tier 2 grenades and tier 2 grenade launchers in base game.

COMPATIBILITY
This mod should be compatible with pretty much everything and can be added mid campaign.

CONFIGURATION
The configuration files should be in the following location:
<Your Steam Install> \steamapps\workshop\content\268500\2286959197\Config\

You can undo any of the tweaks I made.

I use XCOM2 Alternative Mod Launcher but after i search the Andromedon Autopsy, I don't have the Schematic. Is that on research or anywhere else?

@nelVlesis The issue with that is it would make the salvo ability pointless, requiring to come up with and make a new salvo ability. A bit too complicated and involved for a simple tweak mod imo, but definitely an interesting idea for a separate grenade launcher mod!

An idea is to not have them increase radius per tier, but instead have each grenade launcher shoot more than 1 grenade per turn. So reduce the action cost as they improve.

Tier 1 - throws 1 grenade that cost 1 action turn ending
Tier 2 - throws 1 grenade that cost 1 action - not turn ending - but only used 1 grenade per turn (can shoot after, can run, hunker down, etc)
tier 3 - throws 1 grenade, 1 turn, any action after (can used second action to throw another grenade)

Update:
- All grenade launchers grant +1 to explosion radius (no more scaling based on item tier)
- Beam grenade launcher is now available from the start when using Debug Mode

@Hotl3looded Yeah that's exactly what I went with in my config edits! I didn't realise earlier that tier 2 grenades in Superior Explosives also have a range increase until I dived into the configs since it wasn't listed in the description. I thought range increases went: 0 -> 0 -> 1, when it's actually 0 -> 1 -> 2 for your grenades, so the nerf to early-mid game grenadiers wasn't as harsh as I thought. In any case, just that simple edit makes this mod perfect for me! Thanks for giving me some of your time haha

@Patchvision well for my reasoning... I think increasing the explosion radius of a grenade through a launcher makes little sense.. but that is my personal opinion and I know that games aren't meant to be 100% realistic.

Also, when playing with Superior Explosives, I found that the radius of explosion was getting a little bit silly with tier 3 grenades and launchers..

On the other hand, I agree that it makes the launchers a little bit underwhelming.. Maybe the better compromise would be to grant them +1 explosion range across all tiers (no scaling with tiers).

@Hotl3looded Yeah no worries! I was just skimming through the workshop for new mods and was a bit confused/curious on the changes and wanted to hear your reasoning. I don't like the new targeting method either so I wanted to know what was gained in return. Cheers for the quick reply!
