To use air to air missiles (LIDAR - 3km range):
1. Switch to the weapons toolbar (Toolbar 3)
2. Press 4 to launch air-to-air missiles while facing the target
3. Press 3 to switch to the camera and keep your crosshair over the target until you hear the lock tone, at which point the missile is now fire and forget


To use air to ground bombs (tv guided - unlimited):
1. Switch to the weapons toolbar (Toolbar 3)
2. Press 5 to take control of the belly targeting pod
3. Press 6 to switch to the targeting pod camera
4. Press 3 to activate auto-alignment to the horizon if needed
5. Press 7 to release a bomb. The bomb will fly toward wherever you point the crosshair until impact


I designed this FA-18 to not have unrealistically powerful thrust, and tuned it to feel realistic; when you are unladen with no weapons or external fuel tank, you feel much lighter and manueverable than when you are fully loaded down. You still can fly well even at full load, but it gives two different feelings between the two. Also, being that the missiles and bombs are attached by rotors, the aircraft will realistically list to one side if you have launched a missile on one side. The trimming menu gives you the ability to trim out any unwanted motion.
