The Rokenshield Fleet Carrier is not some flying space carrier costing 50 million BB that can only hold 6 or 7 small strike craft that would be shredded like a block of cheese in a dogfight, it is an 8 million BB ground based carrier that can land, carry, recharge, and move loads of actual attack planes around. It has a 52 block long hangar and a working elevator to access it, an autonomous defense grid for attacking both airborn and ground targets without you pressing space, several landing pads for larger planes (that don't fit in the hangar) on the top deck, locks for aircraft on the top deck so they don't slide off while the carrier traverses terrain, a helipad that can fit most medium-sized helicopters/VTOLs, an efficient solid fuel engine that refines and sells any non fuel items it picks up, a deployable mining rover that can mine fuel to bring it back to the carrier, a very dangerous and potent anti-tree/rock defence (flamethrowers, plasma pokers, diamond-tipped drills, you get the picture), a series of jets which I call the "hyperdrive" that can get the carrier's speed on flat ground to over 80 mph (lasts for around 15 seconds), an actual spinning radar dish on top of the bridge for full aircraft carrier immersion, a forgiving runway, and toggleable shields and repair bubbles with full coverage of the carrier.

Yeah, this one took a lot of time to get working. (ask anyone on the TerraTech discord, I've been talking about it for a full year now with multiple contributions from many people)

There are two purposes of the Rokenshield: to serve as a secure place to land and recharge your planes, essentially acting as a mobile runway/airport, or to act as an assault craft for carrying a large group of combat fighters into range of an enemy target (which will most likely not survive). It's defenses are quite weak and generally rely upon the bulkiness and large battery reserves of the carrier to lengthen the fight until they get the job done, but it theoretically will also launch it's fighters if it comes under attack so you have the power of over 50 cruise missiles (and other types of missiles/munitions) coming in on your opponent from all different directions. Nevertheless, it's probably a good idea to bring an escort brawler along for the ride.

The Rokenshield can traverse almost all terrain, just not the extremes. For such an enormous bulk of a tech, it can surprisingly carry a full load of planes through some desert dunes or over a green mountain. It can even get through the salami hills (plateaus). Using the hyperdrive (thrusters), it can actually climb up most inclines as long as you make sure your anti-tree defences are on. This makes the Rokenshield able to compete with the main factor that makes people build airborn carriers; mobility.

Now let's cut to the chase- how much does this bad boy cost? Only around 8 million. Now let me tell you- that's a steal. Most aerial carriers work iffy at best and can't carry a lot of planes, but cost upwards of 20 million BB. Most ground based carriers can normally carry a bit more planes but aren't suited for carrying them across all terrain, and they normally cost around 10 million BB for a good one around the size of the Rokenshield. But I made my superstructure out of GSO blocks, cutting the costs down by LOADS. I only used the more expensive blocks such as hawkeye and venture where needed for structural integrity or a bit of pizzaz. This carrier not only works better than most carriers, but is also one of the cheapest ones you can get! Sound too good to be true? Maybe consider the fact that I have been working on this thing for over a year, fine-tuning it to meet my standards.

I wish you a good day as you stuff fighters into your hangar! (btw my record to beat is 11 ACIs, if you can trump me I'll give you a shoutout in my next terratech youtube video!)

WARNINGS:
-Rokenshield can be hard to anchor. I did this on purpose, because when you anchor you risk teleporting your defence turrets out of their sockets. The smallest amount the Rokenshield has to teleport to anchor the better.
-If your CPU ain't the best, you will notice that your turrets will fall out of their sockets much easier.
-Landing planes can be quite tricky when you are lagging a lot. I suggest getting a long run-up if you're tanking on the frames.
-Luxian crystals have a brokenly small hitbox, making them hard to defend against and are very deadly to wheels. If you are boosting, LOOK WHERE YOU ARE GOING!!
-DO NOT... UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES... BUILD BEAM AFTER YOU HAVE PRESSED X. You will loose all your turrets, aircraft, and other multi-tech apparel, and you will be very sad.

INSTRUCTIONS/INTENDED USAGES:
Elevator: (refer to slideshow picture 11 for visual aid)
(it works better when you're anchored btw)
1. Start by pressing x.
2. Take control of the elevator.
3. Press shift to bring it up to the top deck. If it gets stuck, press b to re-align yourself. Keep going until it reaches the top.
4. Once at the top, find the locking brackets located at either side of the elevator. They protrude from the Rokenshield quite prominently. Once you found them, take the bottom GeoCorp long bumper and place it on the GeoCorp tri-bumper (the side facing the elevator).
5. Once one locking bracket is in place under the elevator, you can release shift. Now do the same with the other locking bracket on the other side.
5 (optional). Place the Venture 1 blocks into the open corner between the two armor panels on the inside of the elevator shaft (they're right next to where the elevator is locked into the walls). This will completely lock the elevator into position and will have no cracks between the elevator and the runway.
6. Load/unload plane.
7. To go down, simply remove the Venture blocks and put them back into their original spot, then remove the GeoCorp bumpers and put them back underneath the Venture blocks. The elevator will fall back down to the hangar level. Press b if it doesn't fall all the way down.

MINER:
1. Press x.
2. Remove GeoCorp 6-bumper from in front of it and place it on the GSO blocks directly above the miner (refer to slideshow picture 12 for visual aid).
3. Drive out of the bay and go mine/collect fuel.
4. Drop off fuel at the docking station (behind where the miner is stored)
5. Use the build beam to get the miner back into the bay.
6. Replace GeoCorp 6-bumper.

ABOVE-DECK PLANE STORAGE:
The helicopter pad can fit any helicopter that can fit, while the 2 large landing platforms are meant for holding GAP 394c's. They can potentially hold your own planes if you customize their wheels and design to fit the locks. The two smaller ones that have all the GeoCorp bumpers around them are meant to hold Pelican AD4s, which are very tight fitting and will probably be unable to hold any other planes. Both these planes are suggested that you subscribe to when you subscribe to the Rokenshield.

BELOW-DECK PLANE STORAGE:
You can only fit below-deck what you can fit onto the elevator. The elevator can normally fit 11x13 planes, but if a part of a plane slips under or over the railing you might be able to slip a slightly bigger plane through. The hangar is 8 blocks high, higher than most planes ever get so you probably don't need to worry about that. So far the elevator has been able to lift whatever I put onto it so weight capacity isn't really a thing...

Hey, this looks cool. Are you cool with me retrofitting it with a crafting setup + Sky Anchor?

Honestly downloaded this as I was having issues with making an elevator for my own carrier.
It's incredible how long it took you to make this beast. I am quite intimidated tbh.
Good luck for your current project!

I don't doubt it, I'd love to use stuff like that without risk of... you know busting the entire build by using a very common game feature.

Yeah I hope so too, that elevator was a royal pain in the ass lol

Personal preference I guess. Good luck with your other projects. (Also I hope they eventually add movement type blocks so we can make door and elevators easier).

I made the turrets because there's a glitch where the recoil from firing guns caused the tech to teleport. It also allows the Rokenshield to engage multiple target at once, and provides some decoy protection against techs since they're more likely to target the turrets first. I also was sick of firing all the missiles when I used the anti-tree stuff.
I actually am making a new version of the carrier, though it's a hover-carrier and not a ground-based carrier. It will have more battery, more hangar space, and will be less laggy.

Is there going to be an updated version of this with some of the new blocks? Also I personally don't see the need for the turrets since... I could just fire myself and not have to worry about losing my weapons by simply pressing B so... is there a less "risky" version in the makes? If not I can probably mess with it myself and remove the (in my opinion) unnecessarily risky AI.

this...
this is all i wanted in life. thank you.

this was built before the sky anchor. LOOOOOOOOONG before. also normal anchoring helps get rid of lag, and the anchors are so low to the ground that it doesnt break. its just hard to anchor.
