EHI ARV-150 Purveyance Atmospheric Mobile Refinery (DISCONTINUED)

Description
NO MODS | DLC REQUIRED | SCRIPTS | MINOR SUBGRIDS | SURVIVAL READY

The ARV-150 "Purveyance" Atmospheric Mobile Refinery
HUD ID: (ARV-150)
Hull symbol: AGRV

THIS ITEM IS BEING DISCONTINUED. It will not receive further updates.

Owing its heritage to the SRV-75C Acteon Mobile Refinery, the ARV-150 Purveyance utilizes much of the same internal structure and layout. Although this saved some pain during the early stages of development, keeping size down while floating the weight of a full-scale refinery proved to be a significant challenge for EHI's design team.

That said, EHI is pleased to offer the ARV-150 Purveyance as its premier solution for mobile planetary mining operations. Designed to support a crew of up to 8, the Purveyance is highly self-sufficient and capable across a wide range of environments. Ore loading, processing, and unloading is nearly completely automated, handled by an intricate self-sorting system.

The Purveyance is designed to operate in conjunction with up to six EHI D-120-A Worker Bee Light Excavation Craft. However, it is fully capable of supporting other similar bottom-loading mining vehicles. Additionally, the Purveyance is reasonably well armed (although lightly armored) against attackers.

Scripts:
Whip's Auto Door and Airlock Script
Automatic LCDs 2
Gravity Aligner
Whip's Turret Based Radar
[PAM] Path Auto Miner | Autonomous mining and grinding script by Keks

IMPORTANT:
THE ARV-150 COMES SHIPPED WITH THE ALIGNER TURNED OFF.
The aligner script is toggleable via page 2 of the helm console. (Run with argument "Go" to start the aligner, run with argument "Stop" to turn it off.)

The Sorter Reactor Fuel Bypass allows for uranium to flow to the ship's reactors. The Sorter Ice Bypass allows ice to flow to the O2/H2 generators. These can be shut off when necessary. The Sorter Unload Ice From Cargo allows Ice stored in the Ore cargo containers to be unloaded. In addition the Connector Ship Resupply allows for ammo, tools, and other ship's stores to be freely loaded/unloaded directly into the ship's inventory. It is important to note that while airborne if mining ships are docked to the aft end, current issues with SE physics will cause the ship to begin to slowly pitch up, or drift down. This is easily manageable with a pilot in the seat during docking operations.

Author's Note:
This ships has subgrids that consist only of individual connector blocks attached to the end of the docking pistons. This ship can still be easily built via projector.

This ship is intended for teams of 3-4 to be able to expedition far from their base in search of whatever minerals they're missing. As a side note, I noticed in playtesting that boarding actions with this ship are actually really fun due to looping corridors and multiple points of entry.

ALSO, the aligner script can get buggy if you leave it turned on after landing, and sometimes requires being turned off and on again after re-loading a save. Be wary of this before you fly.

Please comment if something isn't working, or if you have a suggested tweak or improvement. -Enjoy!

Oh I think I might have already done so! I read your comment fixed it and then forgot to say anything >.< I'm about 90% sure the current workshop BP has this and a few other things fixed.

The summary of the issue is that the ingots will stack up in the sorters until they're full or until you connect one of the unloading connectors to a storage block. Afaik, this seems to be an issue with the design of how the blocks work, so its about as fixed as I can make it. I'll mess around to see if theres a way to work around it when I can finally get my PC set back up.

I just dissected the ship. :D The "SORTER unload ingots" sorters trapped the ingots. Once I grinded them away, all the missing ingots fell out from them. (They were empty when I checked their inventory). If you can, please update the ore/ingot sorting system on this beautiful ship. :) I really appreciate your creations. :)

@Canofjuice please help... Every ingot disappears from the inventory of the ship. I even grinded off all the connectors, there is no possible way for them to eject from the ship, but they just keep disappearing. The whole ship is empty, it only holds uranium and ice inside...

Okay addendum, sorters in drain all mode DO collect inventory- if they don't have anywhere else to send it.

I checked it a few ways, with various things turned on and off... It all seems to be working for me :|

The only guess I have is that you might have one of the unload port/starboard/ventral sorters turned on, and ore is being shuffled into whatever connector they're attached to. The "unload ingots" sorters should be set to drain all (which means they themselves won't hold inventory).

- EDIT

Okay, huge derp on my part: the unloading sorters had nothing checked in whitelist mode.

I'll look into it, its probably getting pushed into a sorter or something down the line with hidden inventory.

Just checked with a few other ores, yielding the same result: it all disappears as soon as its refined...

Hei, I've just built this ship and inserted some silver ore. However, it can't be found after being processed from ore to ingots... It briefly shows up in one of the ingot containers before vanishing. Is there a seperate system that I'm overlooking?

From my experience it should build with the scripts enabled. The projection should retain all settings an information. The only place I've ever had issues is with cockpit controls staying intact. I usually try to build the cockpit seats last for that reason.

@Canofjuice Just curious, I'm new to playing Survival, and I know that this isn't the page to ask, but as you have blueprints with script-ready capabilities I figure I'd ask you anyway. If on Survival I'm building a script-enabled blueprint (such as your Worker Bee craft), will it build with the script enabled?
