I really enjoy this game and I think it's one of the best MMo's out there. Call me crazy if you want but I really think this game is excellent. Why the negative review you ask? The game is still full of bugs, many of which are game breaking. Server stability is a joke as well. So much to like about this game but you just can't recommend a game that's in such a rough state.

The game hjas been out for what? 2 years or so? how long does it take to get your act together?

i have hundreds of hours into Rust and other PVP focused survival games. I thought a more PVE oriented survival game would be nice to escape the toxicity pvp often brings. Ya know, a nice chill experience. turns out, the "horses" in this game are far more toxic than a player could ever hope to be. Bet your ass there is one around every corner waiting to jump on you and beat your ♥♥♥♥ into the ground. Running is futile, it will chase you to the ends of the map and back again.

Also, far too boring to to waste countless hours getting to a level where you can actually craft a weapon that does damage. the "rpg" system probably sounded good on the drawing board but in practice... doesn't feel right in a game in this genre. Level 200 pigs and horses stampeding you as you walk around is just lame.

buildings have durability which makes sense but as they take damage and fall apart, they don't seem to lose durability. which makes no sense. All in all, wasn't a very pleasant experience, and I would rather go back to getting my base griefed in Rust.

I Don't understand the hate this game gets.. I'm not going to focus on the negatives in this review because plenty of other have already done that and I'm sure you all are quite aware of them by now. Repetitive is the word I see thrown around the most when Valhalla is brought up. It's no more repetitive than any of the other Assassins creed games. I Wasn't a fan of Assassins creed until origins because of the shallow combat and lack of RPG progression and gear, I'm a sucker for a good RPG. Not saying Valhalla is a super deep RPG but as far as Assassins creeds go, It's by far the deepest.

I've been playing this game on and off for the last year with ubiusoft subscription service and i just bought it due to the recent sale. I have to say.. What a steal, the complete edition for half the price of a new tripple A game. I'm glad i picked it back up because I'm enjoying it more than ever this time around. The environments are truly gorgeous with some locations being absolutely awe inspiring. Clever use of fog and lighting, falling leaves and butterflies, how the lighting pours over ruined structures and seeps through tree branches. It really is something else.

Combat in odyssey was one of my biggest letdowns and to say the combat in Valhalla is perfect would be a lie.. but It's much better than odyssey and with access to plenty of abilities (found through the world in hidden locations)and skills gained through the massive skill tree. The skill tree is... Expansive, and filled with active skills and passives. It really allows you to build your character the way you want.

Gear is also a major plus in this game. So many different gear sets and weapons with their own specific traits and upgradeable through the use of runes or by using materials to increase their stats. You can also upgrade their rarity through a blacksmith that allows you to upgrade it's base stats further. It even changes the look of the armor or weapon.

i often see this game bashed for what it does wrong but hardly ever see it praised for what it gets right. If you are looking for a true continuation of the Assassins creed story, you might not find that here. Although you will find a ton of lore that helps set the stage. In conclusion and on its own, Valhalla is a solid open world RPG with decent combat and plenty of interesting locations to explore. Not a perfect game by any stretch and It might be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Assassins creed game but it's a good open world RPG. All my opinion obviously and with the game on sale, i can confidentially recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of the open world RPG genre.

I wish there was a neutral option.... Combat is pretty bland and exactly what you'd expect from a third person shooter. Doesn't do anything new or interesting, just plays it really safe. I'ts not bad but not particularly good either. You can only choose one active skill out of a choice of three per archetype with the option to choose a second archetype and skill after accumulating 10 trait points.

Even with the option of having two skills and team mates, it still just feels like a bunch of people running around shooting stuff, No intricate team play necessary. I guess that's my biggest let down. Reviving a downed team mate is about the extent of the cooperative play in remnant 2 and that's a major bummer. i guess if you play with friends in voice chat you could come up with some strategies and I imagine that would make the game play a lot more fun... but if you're like me and play solo or with randoms, there isn't much to it.

Environments are generic and overall completely visually uninteresting. Maps are packed with secrets though so that's a plus. Each area has It's own unique enemies even if most enemies look stock and generic, at least they look like they belong. anyways... After 12 hours I find it hard to boot the game up and continue playing.

most of the issues that people were complaining about have been fixed and the game is good (core game play has always been good) now. If you like the vermintide series and want to pick this up and also support the devs, this is the copy to grab. DT still has problems and is inferior in a lot of ways compared to VT2 but if recent updates are anything to go by, DT will be the better game in due time. Gear acquisition/crafting and map variety being the most glaring issues now, imo.

My system specs are pretty good, RTX 4090, i9 12900KS, 32 gigs RAM and the game has insane micro stutters that I can't get rid of. MW2 ran fine on max settings as well as countless other games including cyberpunk 2077, the last of us part 1 and many others.. Also after playing for about 20 mins the audio takes a dump and starts crackling. 70$ for a literal copy and paste job with worse performance. REFUNDED and you should to... Or just don't buy it. I just wanted it for the zombies mode but honestly.. cold wars zombies is better.

Early Access Review
this game has come a long way.... unfortunately, the catastrophic launch paired with a shaky Early access period, and baffling monetization practices killed the game before it ever had a chance to bloom. Wayfinder deserved better. there is a solid action rpg in here and good times to be had. thankfully the game does not seem to be completely abandoned can still be enjoyed solo or co op (i think).

I wouldn't waste your time with this. The entire early game and all the way till the very END of the end game is completely void of human players. you have to spend 50 bucks for a power pass to boost yourself to end game or else you are going to be playing a single player mmo.. Unless you bring a friend. but let's be real here, you don't have any friends because if you did, they'd tell you not to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ play this game.

I actually purchased a punika pass, which basically boosts your character to the very start of the end game. even here it's almost impossible to find a group for a dungeon or raid. The few groups I do find don't want anyone new because you can only participate in these raids once per week per character. don't get it ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up now, these players are elite, the best of the best of the best, SIR. They don't have time to show you the ropes, no way jose. They got 11 other characters they need to complete this raid on and they can't be wasting time on some noob who wants to learn raid mechanics.

don't let the player count in the community hub fool you. I'd put money on it that there are more bots than actual players rn, no doubt in my mind. Long story short, wait for a huge patch or something that's going to bring old players back and new players in.

Review bombed right out the gate, Is anyone actually surprised? The game does have a lot of problems however and I suspect some negative reviews are genuine. Human enemy AI is broken and really needs to be fixed. Most of the time they just charge you and die or miss every shot when standing 10 feet away, how this was given the OK is beyond me. Performance on my end is fine but I have a high end rig with a 4090.

I see what arkane was going for and I'm on board for it. The world and atmosphere is great, gun play feels solid and satisfying. The different character abilities really make each character feel and play different. As a solo experience the game is fun albeit extremely rough around the edges. Nothing that can't be fixed imo though.

Can't recommend this game at it's current price but it is on game pass.
