Game is alright, people complaining about how big ac valhalla is well no ♥♥♥♥ sherlock can't believe a game that tries to attempt to put the nine realms of norse mythology (its not even 9, its literally just 3, Asgard, jotunheim, and Earth(Midgard) ) in the game plus all the locations that historically the vikings went to literally the dumbest complaint I've heard of on this game, but can't 100% the regions because of the ledecestrescire wealth bug. searched it online and it seems this has been a problem ever since the game was released. Goes to show how incompetent ubislop is. Oh yeah, ♥♥♥♥ Cairn stones biggest headache this game have if u try to 100% the regions expecially the hamtunscire one. Legendary animals was the biggest letdown for me just boring and unimaginative.

100+ hours in after completing everything except the DoR DLC (I needed to take a break!), I have to say I definitely got my moneys worth and overall this was overall a pretty good game. My biggest complaint is that the main story with the different faction states is great...for the first 4 or 5 campaigns, but after that it becomes too formulaic and honestly a slog to get through to advance the actual story of your family.

Overall, if you're a fan of Assassin's Creed or open-world games in general, give this one a go. It took me a few hours to get into this one, but glad I stuck with it because there is some some fun to be had, especially in the first couple DLCs and towards the end of the main game.

Also, I only bought this game in support of UbiSoft's decision to bring achievements and additional Steamworks features to the game. You put in the effort, folks like myself will support you. I look forward to Shadows!

What I liked:
Fantastic soundtrack
Graphics
England/Norway/Ireland
Weapon flexibility with loadout and moves
Lots of abilities
Overall story was decent, DLCs were better
Hidden weapons
Interesting story arc with Bassim
River raids and being a Viking
Building Raventhorpe was an interesting side activity
UbiSoft added Achievements

What I did not like:
Open world map too big
Too many collectibles/distractions
Equipment stats too simplified
Main Story too formulaic and too many side campaigns
Bugs and random crashes
Did not like Eivor as much as prior two AC protagonists
Minimal ship combat

Beautifully crafted world, but most of it is devoid of any meaningful content. Game could be completed in 16 hours for main quest. But you will spend hundreds of hours just doing collectables, a lot of them won't tell you what you need to do but will still get SUPER repetitive.
Find entrance into house,
Do some light bending puzzle.
Stack rocks - Whoever came up with that in Ubisoft - "Go ♥♥♥♥ yourselves".
Fishing - never understood the point of fishing in these games, do you have fishing enthusiasts in game dev. office?
If I want to fish I'd rather do it physically rather than in a game , or buy a fishing simulator! Just who asked for it?
Side quests are a okay at BEST. as opposed to Epic quests you can do in Witcher 3.
As a viking raider - you probably won't be doing that much assassinating rather than butcher whole castles. It is cool not going to lie but for Assassin's game - in this one there ain't much focus on stealth assassination game-play.
