食之无味弃之可惜的一作。高情商：适合新猎人入坑，低情商：新怪普遍简单过头，毫无重复打的欲望，打完甚至怀念雪鬼兽。而且卡普空太没诚意（是谁第一次更新拉一条普通海龙种出来充数？），谁花$59.99买谁冤大头。推荐备战dlc直接骨折买完全体。

动作设计德田通病，每个武器都有一个派生是有格外可观的数值的，导致猎人为了收益会开始疯狂复读：虫棍无伤口复读急袭斩，有伤口无脑螺旋斩；弓箭站桩龙之矢；太刀复读赤刃；片手复读锄地；铳枪炮击体操循环；其他武器不是很了解就不赘述了。就一大号世界，之前做梦都能梦到无事飞圆有事下戳的可怕日子，但老怪至少有交互感啊。本作除了煌雷和锁刃都有些你打你的、我打我的的感觉。
