Should Lance get a weapon “gimmick”?

First I love Lance. Feels great shrugging off all hits, well 99% of hits. But every other weapon has some sort of gimmick. Kinsect, phials, shelling, songs, gauges, coatings and ammo. Hammer also lacks one but they get power charge. For Lance I’m thinking something that revolves around lessening the effect of a heavy knock back. For those that know anything about guarding, certain moves knock you back quite far (even with guard 5) preventing you from say counter thrusting, or a follow u...

What's your take on the word "Wilds"?

So, most of you heard/seen the devs talk about how the word "Rise" defined the whole theme of the game, in MH:R. The defining word this time, is, obviously, Wilds. What's your opinion, on what this word represents? What could be the theme here? I think it's untamed wilderness, so to speak. It's just that, I am not entirely sure, if we, as hunters, are going to be bothering to "tame it". I mean, the game is about hunting, not killing every monstrosity and building a city/village on top.
