I’ve been playing Disgaea 7, and it’s pretty great. At first, I wasn’t sure about the 3D animation—it felt like a big change from the older games—but it grew on me. The battles look awesome, and the flashy moves in 3D are really satisfying.

The auto-battle system is a big improvement. In Disgaea 6, it felt like the game was playing itself, but here it’s much better. It’s easier to use without feeling like you’re just sitting back and watching.

They cut back on a lot of the extra stuff from Disgaea 5. At first, I thought I’d miss it, but the game feels more focused now. It’s easier to stick to the story, which is great because I usually get sidetracked by side quests and forget to finish. While Disgaea 5 caters to players who want to play for hundreds or thousands of hours—does a game really need that much extra content to be a fun game? No— Disgaea 7 is a better balanced style game for the average gamer.

Overall, Disgaea 7 is a solid game. Fun battles, good balance, and a nice update to the series. Definitely worth playing.
