The good:
The game plays well, looks good and has good bosses with interesting design. There's a lot here to love. The art style, the character design, the music, the power-ups and the quantity of bosses.

The bad:
I wish the game was longer. The death penalty is a little too harsh. You can only dash backwards.

Overall I enjoyed the experience a lot. It's been a while since I maxed out a game.

Gameplay is fantastic, really satisfying makes me thirst for more. Story is a little corny but I loved it nonetheless. World building is very immersive. Amazing music. Skills less customizable but i think that's a good thing. I'm not sure about replayability, but for playing it once through the skill trees satisfactory. Enjoyed it more than the second game. I just wish the game was a little longer.

It's like super meat boy, but with less pain

Fun little ARPG. Gameplay is really good, I enjoyed the story being told, the game asthetic and design. Game was a little easy but I played on the default difficult so that's a null point. I didn't have to grind for any items or levels. Haven't experienced any bugs, and I got it for cheap on sale.

The only issue I had was that the default controls felt a little off, but they could be remapped. And I also didn't really enjoy the wave defense part of the game but they weren't very difficult and you only had to do them twice.

I completed the game in a day. It's super short, but also super engaging. Combat isn't anything to write about but upgrading your village and your equipment leaves you with a huge sense of satisfaction.

It's OK.

There might be some who appreciate the story, but I found the game to be really slow paced. I'm not a big fun of having Icelandic be te only available audio option. Bosses are designed well, and combat can be satisfying. However controls are bad, switching between abilities in particular being a prime example. Most of the abilities are really unbalanced too, healing not scaling of max hp, shield being hardly usable and decoy being pretty much useless, while other abilities like Freya's and Thor's can melt bosses. You can't even really use the abilities outside of boss fights, because of how short they last and how big the maps are. The game let's you fight the bosses in any order you want, but there is a clear difficulty difference between them which dictates which boss you should fight. I started the game by trying to fight the storm jotun and almost quit the game because of how hard the fight was. When I came back later after killing other jotun I breezed through the fight. The final fight was super underwhelming, over before I even realized. The camera goes all over the place, sometimes it's very hard to see your own character on screen which is really bad.

Great to play with friends, great to play solo.

Loved exploring the maps. Played through the game to get 100%. The variety of guns, abilities and builds is incredible. I kept wanting to play more, to try out different builds. Didn't find all trinkets and armor sets but I got most of them. Getting the one item you want might be an ordeal since maps are randomly generated.

Shooting mechanics were very smooth even in multiplayer. And a total of 40 bosses most with alternative ways to kill them gives a lot of replayability.

Multiplayer browser is a little lacking, because it does not allow for browsing based on ping. When playing multiplayer I joined a host with a lot of lag, so much in fact that I couldn't unequip my melee weapon. Tried to unequip it like 5 times before game decided that 'attempted cheating detected' and kicked me out. My character in the main menu shown gear level 1, a little bug that almost gave me a heart attack, thought I lost my save file.

It bothered me a little that almost ever single boss would spawn additional enemies during the battle, but nothing a coop partner wouldn't help with.

Just what I expected.
