A short one, with good visuals and interesting mechanics (not your basic wall climb-then double jump-then wall destruction metroid). It's way too easy though, with only a couple of last bosses giving something similar to challenge, but the last boss dropped in 3 goes anyway. And dialogs are silly. Wish it would cost cheaper

If you're making a game with very hard bosses that people will have to try over and over and over and over and over again, maybe make the cinematics skippable. Also maybe make it autosave in the boss room. I might not have refunded this if GOING BACK TO THE BOSS AND SITTING THROUGH THE CINEMATIC AGAIN wasn't so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ frustrating.

Unfortunately, this is a disappointing decision in the field of game design and it does not live up to expectations. The main goal of "9 Years of Shadows" is to impress gamers with its beautiful music and stunning visuals, but unfortunately, this does not happen.

The decision by the developers to incorporate the mechanics of healthbar with projectiles and evasion without any invincibility frames is confusing and frustrating. As a rule, platform games have invincibility frames for evasion so that players can avoid damage by rolling over enemies and not cause harm. In "9 Years of Shadows," evasion seems like a useless and frustrating activity.

Despite the impressive audiovisual accomplishments, the game is ruined by poor game design decisions. This major flaw in the game design ruins "9 Years of Shadows" and makes it an unworthy title for sophisticated gamers.
