I finally bought this game so me and the wife could play...it has been an absolute nightmare of a blast!!

Do you love dark caves and screeching in the distance? Enjoy mining, collecting, hunting and sometimes hiding...then I have a game for you!! Honestly one of the most fun games to play together we have done, the classes are *chef's kiss*. Love My heavy gunner gatling boi, but also every class is unique and fun to play!!

pick it up!!

*Update after their patches* COME BACK LATER, LOOK AT THE GAME 6MO-1YR FROM NOW. AGS CAN'T FIGURE OUT EVEN THE BASICS.

First Obligatory Info on Server status as that seems to be the main downvote for the game:
**Regardless of AGS to cap server pops at 2000, they have rolled out dozens and dozens of new servers, so yes you can get in, and yes you might have a little delay on High Pop servers, choose newer low pop, it is common sense.**

(TLDR at the end)

Now onto the Review!

It is not super fast paced, the combat requires thinking and timing, but with only 2 weapons and 6 abilities you don't need to button mash rotations. The game itself is beautiful the zones are distinct and quite fun to break up the monotony of farming skills! The game is a little grindy once you get to 150 in your gathering, woodcutting, mining, etc...but the main bottleneck will be Settlements. You will need to participate in a company that is to buy a region, or help that company/faction gain enough traction through PvP missions to contest a claimed land.

Then once lands are claimed, the real fun begins, Town Projects. You will need to contribute to the building up of vital crafting stations and support of the town through other missions. You can truly see this is a group effort as you will need 100 people or more contributing daily to tasks and maintenance of your Settlement.

The ruiling Company determines taxes and sets the bar for what upgrades that town will have, and early on it is make or break to get to mid tier crafting goods, like Steel Tools, or better foods, FOrges for making better ingots for jewelry...and so on...this is where the game gets kind of annoying, as they have a level boost going right now. You will OVER LEVEL your crafting ability.

The game is a lot of fun, and in a helpful Company with a good strategy you can immerse yourself in the game and literally control the events of others playthrough, but the game is not super reliant of PvP or participating in War, you can PvE and contribute which is nice.

(TDLR) Whether your're casual or hardcore into MMOs, this game has a robust crafting system with depths not really seen lately. I find that most people can come and play and have a lot of fun whether it is combat, crafting, PvE missions, or PvP domination of opposing factions; Truly New World has a lot to offer.

The game is pretty awesome, not the most realistic, and the graphics are dated**, but the end result is a fun game with a massive map, and hundreds of hours of game play. Honestly am just surprised at the amount of work to make something this great. My only true complaint, besides idiot AI that stop on the highway for no obvious reasons, are the "Right on Red" moving violations. It's $700 ticket almost every time you turn right on red. Seriously watch the AI turn "Right on Red" and follow suit, $700. It is the worst aspect of the game, besides 'De-sync' with World of Trucks while backing up a trailer lol.

Minor frustrations for sure, as you can tell by my 54 hours of play time in such a short time of owning the game. Right on Red tickets, seemingly dumb AI stopping on highways, and de-sync with servers are the only 3 faults I can truly find in an otherwise ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ epic fun trucking game!!

**So go into settings and change Scaling from 125% to 400% and the game then looks faaaar better and more modern with far better definition in cabs, and signs, as well as terrain.

Death Stranding Review

It's a great game, however, the story is typical Kojima nonsense. The story is convoluted and just as hard to follow or get immersed in as any Metal Gear Solid game, just thinly veiled subtle nods to our current lives and what not, but despite the annoyance of trying to follow the story the game is solid.

HOWEVER THE VEHICLES ARE THE WORST IN ANY GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED! Seriously for a game that is all about deliveries and moving goods between points, the vehicles couldn't handle worse, be more annoyingly designed to get hung up on every single rock, or high center, randomly boost in the opposite direction, or just generally be a frustrating aspect to the game.

Despite the annoying ass vehicles and the weird convoluted story, the actual Gameplay is super addictive and incredibly fun when you finally drop off that cargo and GET THEM LIKES SON!

Also the Music is probably the best atmospheric music I have ever enjoyed, and they aren't typical songs or genres I would like, but in the context of the game's setting, they are phenomenal!

I would not recommend the game. I just purchased it on sale, and then a massive update happened, and installed Denuvo onto my computer for "anti-cheater" reasons...well I bought this game because of Single player, and I don;t want some kernel level bull***t running in the background on my system, and not even mentioned when purchased, and apparently just slapped into this update.

I really can't stand Bethesda and what they have become as a Publisher, I can't stress how much the actual game seemed fun (a little stupid with the in-app purchases), but waiting 2 months to release a massive violation to people's privacy is beyond sickening. I will be requesting a refund, and I hope the tens of thousands of people who bought this for single player do the same, and keep trying until STEAM gives them their money back. Bethesda waited 2 months to do this ♥♥♥♥ so tens of thousands of refunds would be denied, and to get sales...bait and switch ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

It is a game that I love, that I taught my wife to play, my two kids to play, and even though none of us are all that great, it has been amazing. One of the Rare 5/5 games to be made. It doesn't focus on all the shallow ass things of modern games, such as 4K graphics, or any of the Hollywood ♥♥♥♥ that AAA titles do...and it just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ works. It is so amazingly deep and even after hundreds of hours on Tablets and our phones, and a lot on Steam here, a part of me is sad it's over! That being sad I still have several thousand more hours to play so I'll manage!

I have to say, I picked this game up years ago, played a little bit then walked away. I was impressed, but it was complicated and I went back to the X Universe games for the millionth time...then I decided to play it like last week in May 2020 and my god, it has come a loooong way. The sheer amount of depth and custimization, mixed with the fully functioning Universe of NPCs make the game feel populated and robust.

The Mission system is a little repetitive but to be fair, most of the time so would doing missions for refineries looking for parts in real life, so it isn't too bad. The amazing Workshop creations from some of the people push this game to another level of beautiful. It is a Voxel based game and as such, it is blocky, but after hours and hours of cruising for hidden treasure I still feel excited when I get to see some new factions random ship designs and Xsostan with their deadly shielded ships.

The progression feels fun and you can zerg rush your way to resources up to the barrier, or just take it slower, solidifying Alliances along the way, and building your own fleet slowly and methodically. The sandbox open-world aspect is amazing.

The things I would like to see, is a more cohesive story other than just "get to center to get the best resources", but other than a few tweaks to factions and mission system, it's fine and fantastic as it is. Dedicated multiplayer servers are coming, and I'm not a big online player in these kind of games, but will be a welcome addition for those that love random online encounters.

Literally just getting "reconnecting to online services" every time i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ open a menu, or do a mission or pretty much anything. Turned Offline mode on, and still same dumb ass thng, ruins the immersion, breaks the fun of the game. I just wanna log in and decimate a small island nation; while, overthrowing some despot, IDGAF Square ENix online services and not one person needs that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ period.

** EDITED FOR SENTINEL***

Wish I could give it a side ways thumb...it isn't terrible but honestly GGG has just no idea what it is doing sometimes.

Honestly leaving after Delirium, and coming back now, i can say...it is a lot to take in, a lot of changes happened. I do like the Atlas better, i can block off all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I don;t wanna see except during Kirac missions, I love the Sentinels. having on demand difficulty pop up, when I want it...even if I kill myself 2/5 of the time lol...but the Archnemesis mods....

Honestly the fact i need to use the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wiki to even understand what in the ♥♥♥♥ these mods are...well it is terrible. Seriously if they'd just kept Archnemesis mods on sup'd up rares, or like Metamorph kinda ♥♥♥♥ (build your own Archnemesis for % gains) then just have the league be about popping Senitnels, this would have been the best ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ League they have had.

Instead, it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ half worked mechanic thrown together with one of the best ideas they have had in a while...they need to just let PoE stay hardcore for the 500 people that actually beat a league in 8 days, and work on making PoE 2.0 be the more mass appeal version.

It's a real shame, that outta 20 friends that played this game over the years, only 1 friend still plays this game.

Truly this game is amazing, it really brings the modern look to an amazing game. The nostalgia comes flooding back, but in High Def. Truly love the artwork and the challenges, that Tyrant just following me, gets the heart pumping.
