Receiver: Sony STR-DA3ES (2001)
Speakers: Klipsch KG 3.5 (1995) & Q Acoustics 3030i (2020)

My stereo system I've been working on since early 2020. See it, sans turntable and speakers, here. [i.imgur.com] I particularly love old Denon and Sony ES stuff, it's built to last the ages and looks and sounds great. Once you hear great audio, you can't go back! Some of this is just for fun, but that's what a hobby is for, right? My ideal additions: a Sony MDS-JB940 MiniDisc deck; a Sony TC-K909ES cassette deck; a Pioneer RT-909 reel-to-reel machine; and more speakers for surround sound.

My little Ship of Theseus. Built June 2015 and upgraded ever since.

Backup Computer Specifications:

RAM: 8GB DDR2 @ 800MHz
Drives: 120GB SATA III SSD, 160GB SATA II HDD, 80GB SATA II HDD
Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS

An emergency PC in case my main PC has problems.

Old Computer "Gateway" Specifications:
CPU: Intel Xeon x3470 @ 2.93GHz
GPU: Pegatron Radeon HD 7570 @ 675MHz (2GB GDDR3 @ 1800MHz)
RAM: 8GB DDR3 @ 1333MHz
Display: 1280x1028 @ 75Hz
Drives: 240GB SATA III SSD, 4TB SATA III HDD
Sound Card: ASUS Xonar DSX

I've upgraded my parent's Gateway DX4840-11e that I gamed on for five years until 2015. It originally had an i3-550 and relied on its very weak integrated GPU, running everything off of a slow 5400RPM drive. It's a much more capable system now and I can play games on low-medium settings when I'm at home. This is about as good as it gets for the old standby. It doubles as a Plex server for our home as well.

Windows 2000 Laptop "600x" Specifications:
CPU: Pentium III @ 600MHz
GPU: Neomagic MagicGraph256ZX (4MB)
RAM: 576MB PC-100
Display: 1024x768 @ 60Hz
Drives: 60GB IDE

This IBM Thinkpad 600x was the first computer I could call my own. It originally came with an installation of Windows 98 Second Edition on a 12GB hard drive. I also upgraded from a 128MB stick of PC-100 RAM to two sticks of 256MB, with 64MB soldered to the motherboard. I also gave it a Cardbus Wi-Fi adapter, as the system had no connectivity besides a 56K modem.

Windows XP Computer "Grandfather" Specifications:
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 HT 650 @ 3.4GHz
GPU: VisionTek Radeon HD 4350 PCIe x1 @ 600MHz (512MB DDR2 @ 800MHz)
RAM: 4GB DDR2 @ 533MHz
Drives: 80GB SATA I HDD
Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS

A neighbor's old Dell Dimension E310 that I've upgraded to be a decent Windows XP gaming PC for games that won't work on Windows 10. This was at the end of a darker time for computers, a complicated mess of master/slave IDE dependencies, front-side bus limitations, and limited expansion ports, made so much painfully worse today by the modern lack of driver support.

Server "Electric Boogaloo" Specifications:
CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1240 v2 @ 3.4GHz
GPU: NVIDIA Quadro 600 @ 640MHz (1GB GDDR3 @ 800MHz)
RAM: 16GB DDR3 ECC @ 1333MHz
Display: 1280x1024 @ 60Hz
Drives: 1TB SATA III HDD, 1TB SATA III HDD

A personal server to run instances of Minecraft, Red Orchestra/Rising Storm, Killing Floor 1 and 2, Insurgency, Unturned, and several other games. Also serves my household as a Plex server for movies and as network attached storage. May be upgraded to more and faster RAM in the future. If you want to play on my server or have any questions, let me know!

Windows XP Computer "Dolphin" Specifications:
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 HT @ 3.0GHz
GPU: ATI FirePro 2260 PCI @ 500MHz (256MB DDR2 @ 1000MHz)
RAM: 1GB DDR @ 400MHz
Drives: 80GB IDE HDD

A Dell Dimension B110 PC, gifted to me by my friend Dalt, AKA Dolphin. I put in a hyperthreaded Socket 478 Pentium 4 to replace an ancient Celeron D and threw in a PCI graphics card since the motherboard has only PCI slots. I also replaced the 512MB 333MHz RAM stick. It's... well, it's alright! I'm sure I'd have been satisfied with a PC like this back when it was relevant.
