I would recommend.

There is only one way to expand. You have to check and follow solutions unless you have enough time to waste to go through the learning curve. Over 50 hours and I'm at the 1st weapon upgrade. Everything is so sloow. This crap weren't near the original X-COM UFO Defence or Terror from the Deep, which I still play from time to time. Nice horror vibe, but more terrifying are bugs and glitches i.e. shooting through walls, invisible enemies, one hit kill (on you) when the number of your HP is way over the hp taken, sound stuttering and so on. If you have enough time to waste, or you are extremely bored, go play original X-COM or even new X-COM remakes, unless you are also a very damaged person, this game might be for you. Otherwise, there is a lot more fun games out there to play. Skip this one and move on.
