Overall it's an entertaining game that flexes and shows the potential power of the simulation genre.
However, what it lacks are some key things to keep the majority engaged beyond the honey moon phase of the simulation experience. Here are some of the things that can be done to elevate the experience.
1. I know this is not an easy fix by any means but it would be nice to have car specific parts rendered in. You will see time after time that cars (no matter the manufacturer or model) share the the same brake system, suspension, coolant, power steering, filters, and many many more identical components. This takes you completely out of being immersed and starts to get mundane after time. The great thing about being in mechanics is feeling like you have mastered a specific manufacturer or model due to your experience with it. This game doesn't make you feel that passion. I would start by at least creating unique parts by for each manufacturer so that high end cars get that feeling of being exotic.
2. Day to day cycling should be a thing here. The leveling progression should be complemented with an in game time clock or calendar cycle. To fix this when you accept a job you should be assigned a number of days to complete the job. Then you should need to review the vehicle and order parts, parts should not be instantly provided from shopping, the parts should come the next day and some parts 2 to 3 days (unless you pay for rush shipping). The player should have to 'end the day' to proceed, kinda like life. Adding this challenge for the player of timing the part arrivals to meet the deadlines is huge. When your parts come in and you can finish the job it releases more space in your shop for the next job. I would also add a time clock slider and allow players to select their shift hours. The slider can control the ratio of "in game" time passage vs real time to scale a day/night cycle. You can then see how many 'hours' it took you in game to perform the repair, leverage that against the job earnings to make this feel more like a real shop. The better you get, the less time it takes you to do the tasks, the more tasks you can do per shift, the more profit you turn and the feeling of accomplishment will grow. This adds more authenticity to the experience, makes the player feel rewarded and skilled, and negates the current feeling I get when playing "that I'm fixing 1000 cars a day" which isn't realistic by any means. Also, have several procedural jobs the player can review so they can pick 2 or 3 at the start (progression to 5 or 6 dependent on shop slots that open as you upgrade) that they want to perform for that 'calendar day' and the flow of the game will feel much better. As they upgrade the shop the ability to perform more jobs would carry over providing the feeling of growth with purpose. If they select to many jobs and can't complete them in the day/night cycle time to meet the job deadlines, then they get bad customer reviews which impacts XP or restricts certain jobs until the player reaches 5 star rating level. To me this is the element that would push me most to desire playing the game. By challenging myself to reach higher shop production, profit and quality per day cycle.
3. A minor improvement requested. Steering with keyboard control is terrible. There should be an option for controller support or a selection to change to mouse steering. I never understood why mouse steering isn't a thing, allow me to change to head movement with the mouse when holding right click and when i let go of the right click control the wheel again. Just in case i want to look around. If there is a way to fix this, please let me know. But right now testing or track running cars just isn't as enjoyable as it should be.

Anyway..these are a few big things that I wish the developers would considered changing.

As i support simulation titles as a whole, and genuinely believe the future of our education system and OJT programs will rely heavily on virtual simulations for career development, I'm recommending this title in support of this developer and those like them.

Just a heads up. Get it on Deep Deep sale for PC if you like Dino's. This is a straight Mobile platform game not a PC game. There are tons of constraints that you can see based on the fact that this is a mobile device game. These include but are not limited to the fact that things are time gated, you can't transfer assets across your islands in real time, lets just say if you have played these types of games on PC you will be disappointed at everything about this game.

Early Access Review
This is one of the best titles i've played in years. Its combination of base building thru resource gathering, skill upgrades and parts fabrication is addicting all while trying to fend off the native alien species that wish to stop th spread of your climate destroying expansion.

Babies Cry, Addicts Gamble but Gamers...we GAME !!
What did the Baby say to the Gamer? wahhhh they have micro transactions.
What did the Addict say to the Gamer? WTF!! Micro transactions how do i not keep buying them!
What did the Gamer say to them both? STFU you sorry asshats and play the game for the entertaining hackfest it is.
If your to broke to buy chests...then don't ...omg like its that difficult to not do it. For wealthy people like me i love micro transactions, if i want to use my established income to increase my armies strenght (hey wait...isn't that what real armies do?) then I will. And you poor countries...errr i mean people will just have to grind out your end game. So much rage blinding the real joy of the game. Its like omg Warner Bros is the Orc that keeps owning you and now all your bad reviews are a real time nemisis system in action trying to undermine the publisher. Make Ware..then Love.

Ok....This game is no longer the monstrosity that recieved all the negetive reviews upon its launch. Lets face it....this is the game to be playing until star citizen launches. And here is why....
The story is compelling.
You can recieve numerous missions on your way thru the universe.
There is no load screens....beautifully seamless transitions.
Look at everyone's play time!!! That should tell you your getting your $$ worth.
Its one of the first space games that keeps me excited to play.
Genuin sand box experience...be what ever u want..go where ever u desire!!!

If you haven't played this game yet from start to finish....you're not right in the head. Yet again just when i think a franchise is going to go stale it pulls a complete 180 on me and a classic is born.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!!!
Game worked flawlessly befor the new XL patch. After it downloaded I now get 1 frame per second with a GTX980ti and latest i7 processor. Downloaded the newest Nvidia Drivers and spent about 2 hours trying to figure out why this game will no longer run to no avail. Save yourself the headache, they killed a good game.

Revisited this game after I just built my new PC. With all effects maxed out and my new Acer Predator 1440p 21:9 aspect 100hz monitor. This game is breathtaking. An absolute joy to replay again and again. Cant wait for the new TR in 2016 for PC.
