Okay so I thought I'd update my review that I posted about 3 years ago now.

Looking back at it, this game is really a master of pulling you into the gameworld and just engulfing you completely. The story might not "click" for some people but if it does, boy it does.

The graphics are on a technical level not really something to write home about but I have to give big props to the art direction. No matter where you are or in which direction you look, this game oozes personality and is just gorgeous all around.

The gameplay didn't change too much from the first two Bioshock games. There's still the plasmids which are now called vigors and you still shoot enemies with guns. They did add something new called a Skyhook which adds a new dynamic to the game (Atleast in the areas where you have tracks for it).

Let's get to the story. Without spoiling much, the story definitely is the highlight of this game. It starts off very strong and subconciously plants a lot of questions in your mind that you want answered. This leads to the player never really being bored. It kind off falls off for some time in the middle but it ends again with a big bang. Especially the two Burial At Sea episodes wrap up the whole series quite nicely. Top Voice acting performed by notable people like Troy Baker elevates it to something truly special.

There are some people who don't like this game. I get why. The gameplay is wonky/repetitive sometimes and if you only play games for gameplay, this might not be the best experience you can have. But if you want to experience a truly special world, this is exactly the game for you. I for myself, love it.

There's nothing like it.
