Whenever I'm fighting bosses, they seem to be able to turn around and block or simply just hit me right through my combo, meanwhile Crane X,Y,Y can launch bosses so consistently compare to tiger. Am I missing something?

I generally like to do like 90%-ish of the side stuff in these games, but after beating Judgment I felt like I would have preferred playing that one and mainlining the story instead. Some of my gripes for example were the tailing missions, mortal wounds, removal of equipment, and Yagami's moveset. The tailing just overstayed its welcome after going through so many side cases. So I can get a deal on the Judgment / Lost Judgment collection, but I'm undecided on the first game. I've been reading it's still a good game despite having some problems, I'm just unsure if I will like it or if it's worth it for me to pick it up. So would you recommend the first game? Is it necessary for story or plot reasons to play as a precursor to this one? Or would you just recommend simply getting LJ? I just could use feedback in determining the value of getting the collection vs just picking up...

Floaty controls, horrible camera angles and the AI being erratic to hell and back. I'm glad I'm done with it. Its a shame because the soundtrack for it is pretty good.
