This is a very conditional recommendation. Only get this on a deep discount and only if you don't care about story or characters in games.

+ Gunplay is pretty decent, all but two guns are satisfying to shoot.
+ Pretty good level design allowing for multiple approaches and verticality.
+ Aesthetics are spot on, this is how I imagine a dystopian Nazi controlled Paris to look.
+ Not too many performance issues or bugs, vary rarely I would get a very light stutter but nothing major. Very few crashes.
+ Some cool boss fights.
+ Deep upgrade tree which is reasonably well designed.
+ A decent stealth option.

- Submachinegun and shotgun are trash even after full upgrades in both feel and damage output.
- The twins are hilariously bad as characters, do yourself a huge favour and skip EVERY SINGLE cutscene.
- Story in general is garbage-tier.
- A massive grind if you are going for 100% achievements. I recommend farming first level in stealth for cash, quickest way to get weapon upgrades.
- Co-op option is sub-par and there is hardly anyone playing this.

This is the best new shooter I've played this year by a country mile. In a time when most new shooters suck hairy sweaty monkey balls through a thin straw, this little gem goes back to basics and delivers rock solid FPS action.

+ Most guns feel great to use.
+ Solid movement mechanics.
+ Great cartoony visuals.
+ Good enemy variety.
+ Runs smooth as butter.
+ Meaningfully different runs and good build variety.
+ Very cheap.
+ Bug free.
+ Very good persistent skill tree.

- Somewhat limited content, only three worlds and three big bosses but it's still in Early Access.
- Unlocks can feel a little grindy.
- Can't join coop games in middle of the run, have to team up in lobby before starting a new run.

This game is kinda fun for a short period of time but it has three issues that I can't look past.

The first and the least important is that in later waves your screen is so full of crap that it's impossible to work what is going on so it's pretty well impossible to place or upgrade towers midwave when you get up to wave 80+.

The second and far more important issue is that this game is ultra-grindy. You will need to grind both XP and Monkey Money to progress through the upgrade tree and Monkey Money for things like powers you can use in game and new heroes. The progress is very slow and this game gets boring before you get to any of the interesting upgrades. Another thing is that this game has the most grindy achievements of any tower defense game I've ever played by a long, long way. If you are thinking that you can do some efficient farming here, you are wrong, the "Fast Forward" option is quite slow so even if you come across a map and a good strategy, you will be farming for a very long time to get anywhere.

The most important problem is this game's microtransactions. This game is pay to win by definition. You can buy both Monkey Money and knowledge points which means that you can instantly unlock the upgrade trees without farming for a decade and the very substantial advantages in those trees. It also means that you can buy powers and insta-monkeys so you would have a massive advantage over a player that isn't buying microtransactions.

This is a bad DLC, pure and simple which is a real shame because the previous one was quite good. Here are some of the reasons why I think it was sub-par:

- Writing is just plain boring and it reminds me of the BL3 main campaign story which also sucked. I thought they were on the right track with previous DLC which actually had a pretty decent story but it's one step forwards and two steps back with these devs.

- Levels are pretty average, there are a couple with cool visual design but the rest are mediocre.

- Boring loot, having completed all side-quests, I have all the unique loot and it's meh at best, the legendaries specific to DLC are also sub-par and I won't be using them in my builds.

- Really boring side mission design, it's just more "kill enemies in designated circle" and "fetch this" crap, out of all side missions only stood out.

- Extremely poor endgame content, previous DLC had a number of areas that can be farmed for specific drops, world drops and XP, there is very little of that here. The story bosses are all multi-stage crap design that can't be farmed efficiently and all chests I opened just had garbage in them, not a single legendary.

- It is short and lacking in content compared to previous DLC and BL2 DLC.

- Extremely annoying achievements that add nothing of value to the game.

I've given this a positive review before but with the last update, one of the few good things that this game had is now ruined.

I'll start with the positives.

The guns and loot in general are absolutely fantastic. This is what a shooter looter should strive for, legendaries that feel distinct, unique and fun to use. The guns have improved considerably in visuals, sound and feel from BL2 and so has the inventory menu and the bank space. Right now I have 400 bank space which is a very good thing. I am also not getting any menu lag in inventory screen like I regularly did in BL2.

Gameplay is also improved from BL2. Obviously, the guns are better as mentioned above but the whole thing feels a lot more fluid. The level design is very good and every area now has a teleporter which makes the commute a lot less tedious than it was previously.

Visuals and audio in this game are quite good. Graphically, the game is an evolutionary improvement on BL2 and sound seems a little better too. The environments are varied and interesting.

This is where the good things end with BL3, it's all downhill from here.

The vehicles still have that stupid mechanic where the it always drives in the direction of the mouse pointer. That ♥♥♥♥ felt old and stupid in the first BL game and that was a decade ago.

I won't dwell too much on the story but it is bad, very very bad. The writing is terrible, the characters are either entirely forgettable or annoying and the villains are the worst in the history of the franchise. It is so bad that I started skipping all cutscenes half way through the playthrough. I don't think I missed anything of value since I felt the dying screams of my perishing braincells when I was watching the cutscenes in the first half of the story. They are a potent mix of cringe and aggressive stupidity that are actively bad for your IQ unless it's already in double digit values.

Performance wise the game is not in a good spot. The forums have had a lot of topics on stuttering and frame drops. I've had frequent stuttering and my system comfortably exceeds the recommended specs. Also, a lot of people are reporting a lot of issues with the coop side of things. Overall, this seems like a pretty lazy console port which is disappointing because Gearbox had 6 months to fix this before it was released on Steam. There are also a considerable amount of bugs such as flying enemies getting stuck in arenas.

The worst sin this game commits is in its endgame which is bread and butter for aRPG games. Previously, the endgame ended with Mayhem 4. In this mode enemies had 10 times the amount of hitpoints compared to normal mode, there were some random modifiers also but more than anything the endgame amounted to fighting giant bulletsponges. Naturally, it was pretty poor and limited the amount of viable legendaries and build variety severely. Fastforward to recent patch and Mayhem has been "reworked" and by that I mean that there are 10 levels now and in the last level enemies have 125 times the hitpoints of the normal mode so we went from giant bulletsponges to ludicrous bulletsponges. Needless to say, this made the previous problem of low number of viable weapons much, much worse. Without any exaggeration, in a game with several hundred unique and legendary weapons less than 10 are viable in endgame. There is no more experimentation and there is no more general farming because you know that 99% of what you are about to pick up will not work at all in endgame. I wish I was exaggerating that number but unfortunately I am not, legedaries drop like rain but only about 1% are worth picking up. Now you just farm designated drops for that tiny number of items that will deal enough damage to move those enormous health bars more than 1 pixel at a time.

To add to this game's endgame woes, it has a lot fewer farmable bosses than BL2 did and a lot fewer arenas and raid bosses.

This game is buggy, has a ♥♥♥♥ story, performs poorly on a PC that is significantly more powerful than the recommended spec and has the worst endgame in the history of the franchise. The few things that this game does well are well outweighed by everything that it does badly.

One of the worst "physics" puzzlers I have ever tried.

+ Cool art style.
+ Decent audio.

- Very bad mechanics.
- Finicky controls.
- Frustrating.
- No explanation of what anything in the game does.

This is a decent third person shooter but it isn't worth the asking price, get it on a 50% off sale.

+ Story is okay although full to the brim with cliches.
+ Decent third person loud action.
+ Pretty good stealth action.
+ Fun "on rails" vehicle sections.
+ A good amount of replayability.
+ Some pretty interesting environments.
+ Good audio.

- AI is somewhat dumb, shooting a goon with a silencer doesn't alert another goon that's quite close.
- Cover mechanics are poor.
- Only 6 hours to complete the campaign at a leasurely pace, can probably be done in 2 to 3 hours if you skip cutscenes.
- Dated visuals.

This isn't a good minimalist puzzle game.

+ Some interesting mechanics.
+ Puzzle sharing with others but there aren't that many people playing this.

- There are a very limited number of hints.
- Once you run out of hints, you are stuck forever, the only guide for this game doesn't have solutions for the more challenging puzzles.

This isn't as good as AVP 2 but it is still an enjoyable game.
+ 3 campaigns, one for each race.
+ Pretty interesting intersecting storylines.
+ Second half of Marine campaign is quite good.
+ Predator campaign is consistently good all the way through.
+ Most of Alien campaign is good.
+ Great audio.

- Dated graphics.
- First half of the marine campaign is garbage.
- Some mediocre weapons for Marines.
- Predator isn't as strong as it should be, you don't get the AVP2 Pred campaign power trip here.
- Alien verticality controls feel very clunky.

This is not a bad game but it isn't one that I can recommend.

+ Lots of puzzles to solve.
+ This game is probably good for expanding your vocabulary.

- No clue system in place.
- Basically impossible for people without a large vocabulary or for people with English as a second language.
- Lots of guesswork.
- Intersecting identical letters so basically, even if you got the word right, there is a good chance that you stuffed up the letters for the intersecting word.
