The COD HQ setup is a colossal failure & comes with very few benefits. I never get to just launch the game (COD HQ) as it always needs to update internally then restart. This latest update failed on steam repeatedly before I even got to the internal update. Reinstalled from scratch, (unclicked campaign & MP installs as I just want zombies) and the game installed itself 44GB with none of the zombies options playable without the further campaign or MP install, in fact I think I just installed 44GB of COD HQ with no actual game. I click options in the HQ e.g. the new paid skin packs, and the button doesn't do anything. It lost my terms and conditions etc options as if the HQ has just forgotten me entirely, and even on reinstall it immediately requires a restart to install update as if they didn't give me the latest files through steam. It feels pretty bad to not be able to launch black ops 6 & i'd rather they'd kept the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ battle.net exclusivity over this.

- Zombies is different but fun, however the maps are bland.
- MP is so average, or maybe slightly less than average as standard attachments are being held back for battle pass releases. There's no black ops experimental vibe, i'd rather play any other black ops other than CW.
- Haven't played campaign.

Zombies is all redesigned compared to the classic zombies we know, fortunately they've succeeded in producing something fun with some longevity, which is a great success considering the community they had to release this to. Maps however are small and lacking the identity woven into the map and map specific systems. The game is carried by the general gameplay systems now and the map sits as a backdrop. Liberty falls is fun and Terminus is a disappointment.
Multiplayer is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ standard, completely lacking the black ops experimental vibe we've generally seen.
Campaign seems decent.

Characters and story are at the cutting edge of quality, substance, and invest-ability. We're seeing movie level quality. You could get a full experience focusing on just the story or the combat or the exploration, most elements are very well thought out. The game has left a lasting effect and I've been watching hour long YouTube vids breaking down characters and scenes. I'm super critical of the game due to its brilliance... I came into the experience with expectations based off of the original GOW series and almost all my 'negative' points come from these expectations. The game could be seen as virtually flawless and for some it will be.

Purely made WH40K game, unbelievable the level of quality and it's 100% WH40K. Some extremely cool bosses.

Early Access Review
Classic TD style evolved, got the challenge you're looking for, all the details & upgrades you'd want, and some unexpected positives such as voice acted characters, or little bits of AI focused story between levels.

Can't believe the environments, should be up there with AAA pricing for sure.

Very unique game as you spend most of your time either in choice based conversation with peeps about philosophy, or solving like 140 puzzles involving far future tech.

Regarding the philosophy, the characters in the game are in a unique sci-fi situation which raises questions that relate to humans in the 21st century. Greek philosophy is a focus, as well as very current questions we have in the real world, so you can get a really nice introduction if you're not too familiar, and I can tell there are ideas that will interest most people that have spent time on philosophy. It's all completely connected to the world building and story of the game so it never feels out of place, and you could ignore most of it if you wanted.

The puzzles range from absolute breeze (probably because the game is so good at teaching you puzzle styles) to being difficult enough to make you leave the game for a day or two. The game has a tonne of puzzle styles so you won't ever get bored, even the easier puzzles can be fun, especially with some of the more action oriented puzzles with moving elements etc. The puzzles start off easy before ramping up to a normal level and then increasing slowly but steadily over the next 100 or so, then you have 12 hard puzzles at the end which ramp up the difficulty just a bit more.

Don't expect the puzzles to ever get stupidly hard or complex, there's clearly a focus on fun, but they do get complicated to solve (not saying the final solution will always be that complicated). Most puzzles allow a lot of room for testing and progress before you find the solution so you're not often totally stuck.

Both major elements are set up to be enjoyed by anyone, and there's a lot of exploration and world building in the game. Taking your time with it all is probably preferred. It's like 30+ hours for just the main puzzles and the story. You could probably hit like 50+ doing 100%.
