I'm normally pretty picky when it comes to survival games, but this game's mechanics and myself being a fan of half life franchise everything here hit just right. I have loved this game since I got it and I look forward to what else these devs have in store as it develops. Now I just need to convince more of my friends to play this more often xD

I love this game so much, I never knew how much I missed games like this from my childhood.

As for a lot of the negative reviews if you are considering getting the game::

* Yes the gave is very difficult, however so far I have not personally found it to be unfair, all of my deaths have been from my own mistakes not the game's.

* As for any of the bugs and optimization issues, the devs have been rapidly rolling out patches which is fantastic they are no slouches as far as activity.

* The devs were upfront about the state of the game and were open and communicated with the community, and they even have taken and applied feedback from the community, they are indeed listening and proactive. A lot better than what I can say about some other titles I've purchased recently.

* As for the water mechanic, I've only played for a couple of hours and I got 8 real world days worth of water in that time frame, so it is not as terrible as people were fearing. I do understand that it still is an issue for those who have heavy time constraints, so it is something to more seriously consider, and the devs are considering possible reworks for it.

* Lastly, they plan on releasing a demo in October which might be a good way to wait and check in to see if you are interested in playing, and considering how fast they are putting out patches it will likely be in a better shape by then.

Ultimately if none of that is a problem for you, I recommend diving in and supporting the devs and giving them your feedback it will only help the game improve. If you are still feeling concern or apprehension, then I recommend waiting and just keeping an eye on this until the devs get some more work done on it.

We dive together or not at all!
Roughly 177 countries are still locked out of purchasing this game because of PSN restrictions, Sony has yet to fix their horrid decision and is dragging their feet in hopes to let this blow over.

TLDR:: If you want a solid multiplayer experience for Ghostbusters, I can't recommend this game enough. If you're a long time fan or a fresh face to the fan base or just enjoy asymmetrical multiplayer titles I highly recommend giving this game a try.

The "story mode" is somewhat light weight feeding you cut scenes and dialogue from the characters as you progress through the levels but honestly its still a charming and enjoyable addition to a very solid multiplayer centered game.

Price wise its solid, 20$ normally and has sales that drop it to 15$ or less. Too many multiplayer titles try to get you to shell out 30$ or more with half or less of the content this has. So price vs quality and quantity this is a clear win.

Gameplay loop is fun, matches don't feel like they overstay they're welcome and both Ghosts and Ghostbusters have plenty of mechanics and options to allow for creative plays for either team. Also if you lack enough friends to fill out slots and don't wanna take risks on strangers, they do fill out slots with AI bots, which are decently competent (but not overly so that they'll steal the fun out from under you) so they will provide a challenge and aid you as a team depending on what side you play on. Plus if you want to go the extra mile you can customize each of the bots who fill in the Ghostbusters team if you want them to have a particular look or a particular gear set and even use them as alternate character slots if you like to have multiple outfits.

Content is pretty sizable for a game of this kind, and from what I've looked into the devs are still planning on adding more in the future. Enough content that if I tried to list it here this post would be painfully too long.

Only cons I can think of is while it is mostly stable, on lower grade PCs the game still has some odd quirks (turn your graphics settings down if you are experience lag, crashes, or weird animation bugs, seriously it makes a difference). However, since I've been playing this since its release on Epic I can say that the devs are very on top of bug stomping and performance quality and it will only get better from here.

The game can be a little bit grindy as a fair warning, but unlockables are meant to be done passively once you've activated the various contracts/challenges. I know this can be a deal breaker for some, but if you lack patience like me I was able to focus down and unlock most of the content on the previous platform I was on in a matter of a few days especially if you use private matches and even faster if you play with friends who are willing to work together to power through challenges together. So compared to some grind to unlock cosmetic games its pretty tame but I figured I'd mention it for those who prefer quicker progression systems.

Last con, and this didn't really bother me personally, but it may be a deal breaker for some who were wanting to jump to a different platform. Your unlocks do NOT follow you to the new platform! So buyer beware if you don't want to regrind through the levels think twice!

I love this, and stoked that I can finally play another R&C title. If you like Ratchet & Clank, I recommend it, if you are new to the series, you might still enjoy it if you enjoy action platformer collectathons.
Side note, the developers are on top of updates for fixes too, the last patch stabilized the game, and after some tweaking I found settings that make it stable for my system, so customization options are surprisingly well done especially for a console port.

Gameplay loop is solid, only thing it needs is more content and variety in build options and raider play styles, which will come with updates as they've already shown with their road map. Perhaps some mild balance adjustments to discourage troll builds, but aside from those couple of maps I've had quite a lot of fun puzzling through the various death mazes.

However, there are some serious performance issues, crashing on loading screens being the biggest, and I'm not the only one who has had this issue from what I've looked into.

My PC is more than capable of the recommended requirements but the game periodically crashes and even freezes my computer despite attempting every recommended fix.
So until the performance and stability issues are addressed I cannot recommend this game, I hope they will look into it soon as I do enjoy it.

This is a blast, a lot of concepts brought together to make something somewhat new. Only issue is mild wait times for team games if you don't have friends to fill up spots on your team, and some very minor bugs. Lobby's are a bit chaotic but overall once in a match most players I've met have been friendly.

A great game if you like campy espionage or hero shooters its absolutely worth a try, and I cannot wait to see what content comes in future updates for this.

Losing is fun, its also easier to access than ever now! Pixelated graphics, expanded controls (mouse options), customizable controls, an in game tutorial, workshop support that is already full of amazing mods for anything you might want to change for your own personal tastes, and of course a friendly and an expansive community ready and willing to help you with anything you might get stuck on.

This is an amazing game with an insane amount of depth, if you like sandboxes, story, rpg and management mechanics it is absolutely worth a try, this is an amazing time to finally try this game if you've been on the fence about it, or if its your first time hearing of it.

I was looking for a tactical large scale war game that really hooked my interest for quite some time now, this definitely hits the spot if you enjoy combat games with more depth and freedom than standard twitch shooters.

The community is overall surprisingly inviting, friendly, and even helpful with new players. The mechanics work incredibly smoothly with minimal bugs and glitches in its current stat. It also has relatively regular fixes and content updates despite the developers being a very small group from my understanding which is great. The devs are active, friendly, and upfront. Also it has a surprisingly well built sandbox tutorial zone where there no team damage. It has multiple types of training activity areas to play around with and get a feel for from basic to vehicle to artillery and even base building training.

A word of caution however, if you have a hard time ignoring toxic players, avoid playing on the Warden faction. While the majority tend to still be nice people that are fun to play along side with, there is still a very loud minority who will spam chat with intentionally offensive derogatory bs, spam ban reports for giggles or perceived offenses, and also even team kill or at least make a heartfelt attempt to if they decide they don't like something you're doing such as building a truck for yourself which they suddenly demand is theirs and to fork it over.

A fix for at least the last issue however if you have to play Wardens due to either their visual aesthetics or in game lore striking your fancy, simply point an rpg launcher or similar heavy ordinance weapon at them and they suddenly become very polite when threatened with an explosive death. :)

Because its legitimately the only "official" battletech/mechwarrior title out there right now that actually works and doesnt crash every ten seconds, yey. Unless you count the Living Legends overhaul mod, cheers.

Side note cause I've seen this weird complaint alot, no its not pay to win, everything can be gotten in game with in game currency with the exception of most cosmetics. (still has balance issues out the ass though, sorry)
