"There is nothing which can better deserve our patronage than the promotion of science and literature. Knowledge is in every country the surest basis of public happiness." - President George Washington, January 8, 1790 during a State of the Union address to Congress.

[... the State] "should not subsidize intellectual curiosity..." - California Governor Ronald Reagan, February 28, 1967. This philosophy of not investing in education and "intellectual curiosity" for its own sake continued into his presidential administration in 1980. Subsequently, universities across the country were changed from public institutions of learning into businesses catering to business' desires.

In 2016, I was told by a college professor that he considered businesses to be the university's customers, not the students. He believed that his job was to teach students how to make money for businesses, not to teach them how to learn or think creatively or think critically. How times have changed from when people could join a university to learn from the best teachers in order to improve themselves and become masters of subjects.

This is another example of how Libertarianism has changed the United States of America.

I support Ukraine in its fight against Putin's dangerous ambition. I wish them the best of luck.
I also hope that Russian citizens are able to remove Putin from office at some time in the future. The rest of the world misses you.

"Now, science will tell you that 60Hz saturates the human eye and brain. But I’m here to tell you that 120Hz looks absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fabulous to the extent that I couldn’t quite believe it at first. Everything from gaming to simple window jostling on the desktop is just so much smoother at 120Hz." - Jeremy Laird; Rock, Paper, Shotgun
