Aight, rolled a barbarian. One-shot some Jumbos. Found a little mute girl, can't open the cage so I ♥♥♥♥ off and say she'll be fine. Found tons of rando food items. Got in another physical debate, lost my arms. Died. Fair enough. Didn't save after making the character. That's fine, wanted the ability to read anyhow.

Rolled a brickhouse noble knight portrayed as a skinny choir-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with a bowl cut. Backstory matches these traits. I can live with this.
Got into more fights. No noticable change in damage both given or taken. Lame, but it's the start so it gets better later. I cope and move on. Find that girl again and randomly got a key from a busted barrel right before her room. Let her out. She's not running away or biting me. Tell her she's doing great for that.
Have a lovely walkabout the place, enjoying the decorations everyone poured their blood, sweat and tears into arranging. Very cool. Step on unstable flooring, lose a coinflip and fall down. All dead ends except one closed cell door that needs a key, searched everything, no keys.
♥♥♥♥ it, there's a bed next to the door. "Rest and save"? Why, yes thank you. Lose a coinflip sleeping. Jumbo attacks and promptly dies to girl's deadly guarding skill. Loot a key and an arm for girl to swing with, SUPERBIA!
Can't interact with the door since Jumbo died right in front of it. Can't burn the corpse nor use the key from inventory. Beat the corpse 30 times, no effect, but bowl cut says he feels better. Can't try sleeping again since "My adrenaline is too high". Beatings are not the cause nor the cure. True superbia experience.
Comtemplate standing there 'til I starve. Pass on that and quit to title. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bowl cut didn't rest nor save.

It's alright, games very much lovecraft-light with the accustomed beats minus some hence the light. Was hoping for more mind♥♥♥♥ery and brutal challenge, but I suppose that's why Sunless sea was already made.

Nice casual fishing game with a C'thulu cameo. No mean fish people though.

Odd, I think I got a patch instead of a DLC worth 25 euros.

Very adicting zen landscape maker.

The fact dev needed to add in optional pants speaks well about Sybil's design. They better stay optional.

Short game that takes 'bout an hour to clear if you know where you're going. But considering there is no map and you get told ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on what to do aside from your inventory telling you there's 5 keys to get, good luck doing that blind. Took me damn near 8 hours on the first run.

On the bright side the movement is very much like 3d Mario/Jack/Rachet/Crash games. Meaning it's not so important where you're going as how you're getting there. The platforming is ALL the fun of this game, the combats almost entirely optional and meh(aside from the last one. Went full anime there).

Although very short and small. The experience is well worth the modest asking price. Hope to see Sybil in another dream someday.

Babies first monster hunter

My initial reaction to the main menu gave me the impression it was a pay for cards game like Hearthstone and almost quit on the spot. After the first 3 runs of getting used to the mechanics and wording I had to admit the game had me hooked. I strongly reccomend it to people who love roguelikes.

Simplefied/arcady Door kickers. Sounds harsh probably, but I enjoyed every success and failure. Easy to get into, cause some havoc with a friend (AI partner is a dopey leech) and optimise from there.

I started playing Ys game at Ys Origin and recommend starting there. I don't recommend Ys 1 for people who don't care about playing throught the series as a whole.

I like Ys 1, buuuuut...♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ health potion restriction for bosses. The entire game, start to end can be called a maze with zero maps. Nudge combat is a bad meme.

Get over those peeves and limit your fps to 60 and you've got a short and simple rpg to facesmash through.

I seriously only bought this cuz I thought the art looked edgy. And that's pretty much all this game's got going for it. Everything else is very average at best and better alternatives have been made long ago.

The combat is simple and gets repettetive quick.
The character progression is minimal.
The story is forgetable shlock about existentialism
The variety of enemies end at the second of five levels.

All in all it's an inoffensive metroidvania that does nothing new nor particularly great.
