I will not associate with Sweet Baby Inc. I am not a conservative in fact i vote democrat, but what Sweet Baby Inc does to games is wrong and i will not give Bethesda another thin dime until Sweet Baby Inc. is publicly removed from there roster of games.

Beyond this fact, i would not recommend this game because it is really boring and just slpadash terrible.

New Shiny Thing ? Maybe so but the game runs like a dream, on my SteamDeck and on my main rig. SD got around 30-50 FPS on Medium, even better on Low which i tend to do when i am playing long term on the SD.

My main Rig i easily sat at 120 FPS with maybe 2 noticeable dips under 112. Can't say that about Ark Survival Ascended.

The game is fun, you will lose yerself for hours, but there is not heaps of things to do, its EA and you need to temper yer expectations with that in mind.

I am having a blast, this is more Ark than PokeMon, the survival aspect is more prominent. It is refreshing to play compared to the terrible release of ASA. For USA $30 it is totally worth it, i have spent more and gotten alot less.

ASA has turned into one of my biggest regrets when it comes to a purchase.

On release the game ran ok, i posted a positive review based on that experience.

Since then, the stability of game-play both online and in single player has deteriorated dramatically.

Add to all of that the MTX and P2W schemes WC/Snail are implementing just leaves a very rancid sour taste in my mouth.

I loved ASE, i would look forward to playing the game, i used screen captures of the game printed out to show to young special needs students. ASA for me is a blatant cash grab by WC/Snail more than Atlas was.

Makes me sad, and the game and the companies involved will probably become insolvent because of the mismanagement.

I had high hopes for ASA, i strongly advise anyone thinking about buying it to stay far away and go play Palworld, Enshrouded, or Nightingale.

Still trying multiple times a week to get the game to run decently, but caves seem to be a disaster, crash after 10 minutes entering them

Update.... i have had to make the entire game look like trash now in order to play it, which i feel ruins the entire point of the remake in UE5.

I still do not recommend buying the game until WildCard decides to put optimization at the forefront of there updates.... as it is now, they only care about the monetization and fixes to those items.

Outlaws is the perfect example on how to destroy an Early Access title. Make servers and single player never load for a large majority of the player base, and ignore it.

Even WildCard took this seriously when ARK was released into EA, the servers sucked but at least i could get in and lag all over the place.

The game concept looks great, i would love to play it and give this review a real review but as of 3/27/2019, the servers and single player are near impossible to experience. I wish the devs the best of luck but ignoring server issues for so long just smacks of hubris.

Will update if the servers issues are resolved, but as of now its already been too long of a wait for this.

This is an Alpha game, and the devs have been cranking out updates left and right, the price point is perfect and i think they should increase it when it leaves EA.

Sure it is basic right now but what we have is playable and is constantly getting new updates, the devs listen to the feedback and try to implement suggestions as quickly as they can. Reminds me of a Mash-up of Rust (building), ARK (taming), and 7Days2Die (survival). Is it all amazing and fantastic ? No but i don't have eschewed opinions of EA titles, i know we are in an Alpha stage game and i know it will be iterated over and over.

Should you buy this ? HELL YES, it is a fun romp for under $10 USD, i have played worse EA titles that have cost more than $60 USD. If you do, please do so with the understanding it is an EARLY ACCESS title and of course it will need some work. For now it is still fun and the devs are listening, maybe WildCard and GrapeShot should take some pointers from LBG's devs.

Thanks for the game devs its great and i cannot wait for the future you will bring to it.

I do very few game reviews.

For $30 you get hours of entertainment, i spent more taking my wife to see a movie this last x-mas break.

The game is on par with ARK and Rust, has been in development for significantly less time and seems to be very well optimized.

The community is pretty much the same you get in other games of the same vein/stripe, aka: Toxic asshats, Indifferent soloers, Helpful RPers (still strange fellows), Nasally Tweeners, and normal average new players.

Looks great on crap systems, looks amazing on great systems.

For the money weather its on sale or not, it is worth the price of admission. Looking forward to more free content and would gladly pay for an expansion or 3.

BORING.

This game is dull, seems like the devs barely even tried to make any kind of meaningful difference in the units. Almost everything in the game hovers, this seems like a cheesy way to get around movement, and differing modes of transportation.

How can a game try to claim its a spiritual sucessor to Total Annihilation when its units are so gawdawful ?

When i play a Sci-Fi RTS i am looking for some bold untis and massive scale battles, this game just gives me blaaaahh.

Go look at supreme commander... Total Annihilation, Bleh i hate to even say this but Planetary Annihilation had better unit selection.

Just BLEH BLEH BLEH. Ashes of Dullsville.

Why only 2 factions ? I mean did the devs just decide they would be as lazy as they possibly could be ?

Sorry not impressed in the least, game could have had such potential but it is lackluster in every way.

Plenty of other RTS games that have made a serious effort in trying to make an interesting game. I was considering asking for a refund... i still might.
