Great survival-lite game. There's plenty of building materials to create awesome home bases. It's a well polished game for Early Access, with very few bugs encountered. My biggest issue is that playing co-op with friends who live far away (over 170+ ms ping times) gives rubber-banding and lag. Renting a server somewhere in between resolved this issue for us, but I'd rather not have that expense in order to play with my friends.

EDIT 2: Patch 01.000.300 fixed the numpad keybind issue, so I'm very happy about that! Changing review to Positive.

EDIT: So they fixed the server connection issues, awesome! However, leaving my review negative until they fix the NumPad key binding issue. I still have to rebind some keys every time I launch the game. Setting the ini file to read-only did not help.

This is a great co-op game... when it works. But I cannot recommend it in it's current borked state. Constant failure to connect at peak times, then frequent timeouts and connectivity issues make for a frustrating time. Also, the fact that I have to rebind my NumPad keys EVERY time I launch the game is a PITA. Various other in-game bugs, such as sometimes primary weapon disappears, sometimes can't reload weapons, sometimes supply backpack does not supply.
I recommend waiting until they fix the servers before diving into this game.

I played this mostly solo on 'easy' mode for my first go (non-hostile enemies unless provoked). Will try again down the track with the more challenging mode on. I did start off the game in co-op, which worked well.

Great looking game. A lot of attention to details. Armours look awesome, and I especially like being able to glide with some. The building is pretty good; a decent selection of building pieces and materials to be able to make nice structures. I like the progression, scavenging for better materials and armours and foods that make the game easier, but at the same time, the scaling of certain enemies compliments those upgrades so as not to feel too easy.

My only complaint, though minor, is that sometimes the storms feel too frequent.

Definitely got my money's worth and really look forward to more content and the completion of the game.

Played both co-op and solo (incl New Game + in solo).

Pros: Fun combat. Challenging. A range of fun skill combos. Option for various build types if you can be bothered. Transmog.

Cons: co-op was the worst for bugs. Multiple lock-ups requiring me to force close the application through Windows task manager and get the host to invite me again. Sometimes HUD element for my health etc wouldn't display in co-op; had to leave and get another invite. Sometimes UE crashed in solo. Sometimes locked up during fast travel in solo.

Great game & DLC at a discount. Disappointing the bugs won't be fixed.

Time suck, grindy, challenging enemies and bosses, addictive... awesome! Best fun with friends! I really like the building; you can get very creative with it.
EDIT: Hearth and Home update does not disappoint.

Like a good book, I couldn't put this game down. The story is interesting, good voice acting, decisions matter. It has a lot of dialogue, so if you're not into that, this game might not be for you. Interesting lore and factions.

Took me 57 hours to complete on Normal. Managed to complete all the Main & Side Quests, and all Missions in that time. I played a magic role and found Normal to be quite easy, kind of wish I'd bumped it up to Hard for more of a challenge (oh well, next time).

Lots of loot so plenty of armour & weapon options and choices. Armour and Weapons can be upgraded at craft tables or a blacksmith. Skill points are abundant, but Attribute and Talent points are fewer. You can re-roll your points at some stage so no need to worry if you choose the wrong things.

I encountered very few bugs - a well polished game. Some areas had a little FPS drop but I was playing on Ultra on a good rig, though it was never a hindrance to game play.

8.5/10 will play again

Fun game. Puzzles to decipher in an interesting fashion, shooting if you choose, driving (not my favourite past-time in a game but oh well). You can interact with so many things in the game. It's a great looking game visually and if it wasn't for all the poop in the RL streets I'd want to visit San Fran lol. Coop is fun but not nearly enough events to do, needs more. 8/10

I only play coop, so can't comment on the pvp. I have a lot of fun playing this game, especially with friends. Sometimes pubbers can rush a bit, which I'm not keen on since it leaves enemies behind you that need cleaning up, but when you get a good team going, it's great fun.

AI is challenging, which I like. When AI is too easy, it gets boring, but this coop keeps you on your toes. Very good game

Good game. I liked the format: play, shoot stuff, use powers, make decisions that impact the outcomes, then switch to watch a live action movie, filling in other parts of the story, then back to playing, shooting, powers etc. Something different, but always had me curious as to how things would pan out story-wise.

Gun play is a little awkward at times, and the cover system sometimes had me facing the wrong way. But I adjusted.

Performance on Ultra and High settings was fine for me; a couple of times during cut scenes in gameplay it dropped to 30 fps, but I have a high end rig so performance wasn't a problem.

8/10 will play again and make different decisions to see what the outcomes will be.

Great game! Played on Normal difficulty at first, then bumped it up to Hard. Would like to see a Game+ mode that was a little tougher.

A variety of weapons to choose from, many with modifications such as silencers and bigger magazines. Skins for some as well. All for free. Different outfits for your character as well.

Storyline is interesting as it unfolds, and I liked the ending(s). Something different and not what you'd expect. Facial expressions on characters during cut scenes were extremely well done. Very expressive.

Awesome graphics and a reasonably large world to explore. I did a lot of it on foot because you'd be getting attacked nearly every few feet when driving anyway. I didn't like the flying missions much, but that's because I suck at flying combat, though there weren't too many and I got through them.

The co-op is great , just a shame the side missions don't carry over to the guest player, though I didn't really mind repeating the missions in solo mode, as the game was a lot of fun.

Came across a few bugs, particularly in co-op, but overall a pretty polished game. Recommend, especially for Far Cry fans!
