The negative reviews are almost entirely dogwater. Game is cute, fun, and free. There's no P2W in the cash shop, so I can only imagine those people are actually illiterate, or they think buying a shirt for their virtual tits avatar is "winning."

This game sucked in 0.1, and it sucks even more in 0.2.

My PC is basically exactly the recommended spec to play this game per the store page. I have to play locked at 30 FPS with the game still looking like dogwater. Store page suggests that I enable framegen to achieve 60 FPS at 1080p on two GPUs that don't support framegen.

CPU requirements are bonkers even in areas where relatively little is going on. Can't even maintain a solid 30 FPS on lowest settings possible.

End-game consists of grinding the same daily content to RNG upgrade your gear, which would ordinarily be expected, except those materials are limited in number. It's possible to fall far behind your friends/guildmates through strings of simple bad luck, and the monetization is set up in such a way to push that feeling of being left behind, incentivizing opening your wallet. Months of gameplay can be substituted for a credit card. Not good at the game? Buy all your gear with real money. Bad luck? Buy all your gear with real money.

Hard. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Pass.

The Wolcen team decided to delete millions of my legitimately farmed gold, that I spent three days and over twenty hours of gameplay building up specifically for the end-game building projects. Apparently this was an attempt to reset "duped" gold, but since I never duped or exploited anything, they're simply hitting any account with an amount of gold above an arbitrary amount.

This is in addition to the game being a buggy, barely playable and poorly balanced mess, that I in my optimistic foolishness decided to give a fair shake. There are infinitely better ARPGs to spend your time with.

Take-Two decided to make all the money in the world off this game before, years later, cracking down on single player mods for spurious reasons. They essentially ripped a gigantic feature straight out of the game.

I own a $30 founder's pack for this game from early access, it's still in my game library. Now that this game is released as B2P for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ $10, instead of F2P like advertised, I can no longer access my account without paying them $10. With that in mind, enjoy my review:
