I have played (as you can see) only 6 hrs of this game, but the game-play loop is slow, low-brow and boring. There is (at time of review) too much walking between activities on each mission.
I refer to the "30 second game-play loop"" of halo. This game missed that mark 100%.
Add on the behavior of Sony...I do not see myself letting the misstep go for a while to come.
Call me when a No Man Sky and HD2 crossover is announced. ;)

I've been here since the beta, It started rough...so did BF4 and it was a great one by the end.
This entry, in following it's own path has somewhat achieved the same.
Update:
In 2024, this game has enough to offer that it is worth a buy when discounted to $30 or below.

Keeps the expectations of a sequel to a franchise you know what to expect from if you have played any of its previous iterations.
Quick-witted story and on a slightly bigger scale (cus of multiple planets) that mixes up the biomes.
I have not completed it yet, can't pinpoint exactly why, even though I have enjoyed my 40 hours running through the bogs, cities, and arid wastelands.
It's easy to get caught up in the looter aspect of the guns - who'd 'da thunk?!

Loved it! will play again

This Thirty dollar game is worth the price for both new players to the franchise and veterans. The story it tells will have holes for the new players but a fraction an AAA game that is built in a unique game world. The gameplay is that of the previous games and their expansions but the variation in gameplay situations/powers keep the engaging winning formula. I love it and want you all to try it!

The crowning glory sandbox free roaming entertainment! Finmally with online modes.

This game feels like a pre-courser to Tom Clancy's: The Division. Fun when coordinated. frustrating when plugged.
