This is a game where the devs listened to their players. This is the game you start up and play when everything else is boring because there's always a challenge and fun to be had in the procedural caves of Hoxxes. This is the game where the little dialogue that exists makes you chuckle each time you hear it. This is the game where you always make it out with something: a good time, a cosmetic, an overclock, perk points, or maybe just some more minerals for that upgrade/cosmetic you're wanting.

There's not even a reason to troll in this game. The core gameplay loop is satisfying and everyone's there to help. Whether they're on the same assignment as you or just unwinding with some good bug-shooting or mineral-mining, I don't think I've ever had a bad experience with another player, even in public games.

Besides the rough start for people who have little patience (I noticed people trying and giving up in the tutorial because they couldn't understand how to play despite the given instructions), I can't say anything bad about this game.

I haven't had so much fun, stress, and laughs since Planetside 2.

Host a mission and watch as random dwarves join you to help you in your objectives while simultaneously adding to the challenge; everyone cooperates because the game is designed to foster such player behavior.

While it doesn't punish you for going off solo (solo mode is very doable with Bosco to help), if you're in a game with others you'll easy get taken down without help.

Bravo to the devs, and to my fellow dwarves? Rock and Stone!
