I grew up the old Dynasty warriors games. Up till DW5 i played the crap out of em. I remember i was pretty pissed about dw6, the first time they heavyily altered the Approach to the game. This reminds me DW5XL: Destiny Mode, and SW Chronicle(plus SW4 Chronicle Mode), however, it's not yet clear from the Japanese perspective whether protagonist/player-character can be edited as in these games.
