It used to be a good deal - you're buying one SqE game with it for a little more than the game alone - and then you can buy another SqE bundle and make your money back + save some money.

Now it's no longer bundled with anything - it's not worth getting it. Game itself is just some phone level shovelware - and it costs twice as much as chrono trigger - are you crazy to even consider buying it?!?!?!

First impressions:
1) robocop's animations are very stiff, straight from 20th century. In cutscenes you're not an unstoppable machine - you're an old man in cardboard boxes for a suit... Think Indiana Jones from the last movie. I actually thought it was nitpicking from my side before I saw smooth animation in the promotional materials.
2) the usual "modern engine" illness. awful performance, underwhelming visuals on sub 1440p, cursed aliasing.
3) I didn't like that my *human* partner is running ahead of me all time. I get that as an npc she is invincible, but lore-wise it is me who is a tank.
4) this one is for sure nitpicking, but design of punks is very outdated. I kinda just didn't see an antagonist of a stature to set up the stage.

So far this game just made me wanna play Arkham Batman

I would recommend it if not for the adaptive dificulty - I hate it when your progress/updates are negated or even degraded by making the mobs correspondingly (or moreso) stronger.

I liked it, buuuut: 1) fps drops from 90 to 10 in the final level. 2) physics based platforming is more unintentionally infuriating when controls and physics engine itself lacks refinement.

I ABSOLUTELY loved the game before going for 100%.... Then I discovered that the game cheats and is not fully random. I would've wanted to leave negative review just because of it, but that would undervalue such a gem.

DEV! If you read it, please add a "truly random" gamemode! Please, that would make replaying so much fun

The game is clearly a time waster, so I wouldn't have left a negative review if the game didn't force me to make 3 "empty" runs to progress the game. Like the quest is at four nods away from the base and you can only unlock one per run. so it was a 1 node run, a two node run and a three node run before the four node run needed to progress.... I'm dropping it after this quest, don't like the games that intentionally disrespect my time, without letting my skills do the disrespecting. Like hell, it wasn't just difficult or dangerous, just monotone.

To the cons I was already aware: a "linear" roguelite that's neither here nor there, atrocious "UE5" performance, awful visuals on sub 1440p displays.
cons: pretty good open world survival sim, if not for being stucked with a car in dense forest-mountains. The game would've shone as a "forgettable" indie stripped of some of it's "unique" features. There could've been a lot of smaller scope games the devs could've made out of those ideas, mashing them together just created less than a sum of its parts. Hell, less than /one/ part!

You probably already have an inkling as to why you might like the game, let me try to convince you otherwise:

1) the game is kinda in early access? I opened the settings and was met with "we are currently working on adding those"... On the store page it says the game released 200 days ago ?!?!?! And even then they don't list any useful settings like PoV or graphics as WiP, let alone available right now. Essentially all you can do right now is set resolution and FPS - and it doesn't even cover a bare minimum for first person games, let alone in 2025...
2) performance. it runs like a students first unity project. Like the game looks like it should run on gtx450 (hell even gts 210 should run circles around that graphics), but performs worse than titles made for gtx1650.
3) Control schemes doesn't seem to be optimized for gamepad, it might be better with mouse/keyboard but I haven't tried myself.
4) I wouldn't consider this game "playable" on steam deck, don't believe valve. Every once in a while the game will begin "thinking" in the background, even if you stand still and do nothing, heavily stuttering in the meanwhile. The framerate feels "under 29" even when locked at 40,45,60 fps. locking it at 30 makes it a slideshow. Brightness slider doesn't seem to change anything right, even at 1/10 the game is too bright and looks like ♥♥♥♥. lowering the brightness seem to only add very dark zones that are awful in another way. Might be just an issue with game not being friendly with OLED screens. Overall I would call it tolerable at most, unsupported is the closest compatibility level... Heck even Silent hill 2 looks, runs and plays better - and that's the greatest example of "unsupported" game!

That's all I wanted to say. The game didn't match my expectation based on trailers/reviews/screenshots in performance and QoL aspects. I will update the review if gameplay/story isn't quite there either.

upd: it's awful, fps counter says 90 but it LOOKS like 15 and makes me motion sick. Like I can SEE the slideshow, everything is just chunky when you move the camera and you can see hundreds of minecraft like blocks switching. Like imagine aliasing, but the edges are the thickness of your mouse.
upd2: the game really need an "accessible text" options, some text, while big, is hard to read. Like I was expecting that the text was small, based on steam deck compatibility, but the reason it's unreadable is slightly different - it's a kind of typeface that's probably only readable on 4k. the old game style button that will convert it into normal text is desperately needed.

upd2: I like the gameplay and wanna play it, but: 1) it's inaccessible to me due to motion sickness; 2) it's inaccessible to low end gaming at low resolution, as text is getting hard to read; 3) it's not recommended for handhelds due to low performance per watt; 4) it's neither optimized nor even finished UI/Engine/Settings wise.

If you can tolerate what I listed, it's a great game. A bit boring and obtrusive, though....

Don't expect anything like Stanley's Parable.

You can finish it within the refund window, so no risk there.

The cake is a lie.

12/10, weird, experimental and psychological. Some obvious real-life facts makes the game a great thought provoking mystery.

The game offers visual censorship - believe me you want it on!!!!!! The first toggle about licensed songs made me believe it's just for streamers - no, it's for your sanity too...

first what I didn't like was controls, even in menu they felt unresponsive. Then after 5 clicks since the game booted it stopped responding, I didn't even check the settings, let alone start the game.
after reboot I continued into the game. I entered ##### and got some description I disliked (it collided with my views on the subject) and a game over screen. Then I tried #### and got some primitive and suggestive reaction but no game over. Obviously next I went for ### and the game crashed when giving her it. rebooted - crashed. It kept crashing after that, even with different words...

after 5th restart game stopped responding at all, just shows the content warning and that's all...
