An able, responsive shooter that reminds me of the older days of the original Counter-Strike. It feels like it blasted out of the mid-2000's with all that made people love those kinds of shooters but took with it none of the baggage. It has an active community, active moderators and active developers. For how long? Who can know.

But the fact of the matter is that you can plug in, play as your favorite Section 9 operator and blast people away with spectacular cyborg giblets littering your screen, great in short bursts or for extended play.

The apex of the Metal Gear series and very likely the last game in the saga due to Kojima's departure from the pachinko machine loving reprobates at KONAMI.

The cinematic storytelling is in it's finest form yet with responsive, intuitive and fun gameplay which I haven't ever seen rivaled in any stealth action game so far. The gameplay works well in tight or open environments and there are plenty of ways to make your own mini-stories and have fun just like there were in Peace Walker.

As for it's multiplayer I find it equally enjoyable in that it's well balanced rock-paper-scissors class system is fairly well done, although as with all Eastern games there is little in the way of dealing with hackers beyond leaving and rejoining onto another host.

All in all it's an amazing game in almost every way, the only criticism being that there may be too much to do in a single playthrough, leaving a lot of weapon research undone unless you do FOB missions or replay old stories. But in my opinion that's a good problem to have - too much to do really makes your money feel worthwhile.

Literally every system from the first XCOM has been expanded upon in the best of ways. The visuals, the atmosphere, the customization, animations, weapons, aliens and AI are all better than they were in Enemy Within (or various mods, one of which that sound like Bong Boar) and the story, characterization and metagame are all well appreciated and developed.

Ironman still kicks your ass and the higher difficulty modes are just as brutal as they were in that aforementioned mod. A great game with great scaling difficulties and I can't wait for an expansion or cosmetic DLC.

A truly charming clicker game with a personality thus far rivaled by no other, AdVenture has a slew of holiday updates to capitalize upon and planets to financially ravage repeatedly in addition to the extremely slow main game's meta. Whether you check in on it from time to time or babysit it frequently it offers a lot for different people.

Great time waster. It has charm and fun in it's design and it's seemingly updated rather frequently, with a decent amount of players. Because it's free you have nothing to lose and it's a zillion times better than most browswer based clicker games.

Bad, just like the other Sakura visual novels. It's not a game, although this one allows you to make several choices now and again which puts it above it's others. Ultimately fan service and nothing more.

A game that almost seems self-aware, HuniePop has amazing production values. The game design, voice acting, art and direction are all on point... but it's an anime tiddie game. The end-goal is half-naked (probably full exposure off of Steam) pictures of your quasi-developed waifus who have enough personality in some cases to see actual, genuine writing. The jabs at people who play these sort of games are welcome, although coming from people making said game it means little in the long run.

Beyond those amazing points there is little substance. Skillfully puzzle blast your way through each woman to get to the anti-climatic and oddly freeform sex puzzle to orgasm with your then-lover. In a refreshing turn of events the game's living objectives are all above the age of eighteen despite their anime facades, one of them venturing into her 30's.

I don't hate myself for playing it but I find myself curious as to what this team could do if they had put their efforts into an actual puzzle RPG like Before The Echo, another title on Steam without the tiddies but worth the time and effort... more than HuniePop.

The gameplay concepts themselves seem to be at odds with one another, as does the current AI for most of the citizenry & drones. This is more or less apparant from the first time you issue them to build things and while it is fun, I can't recommend it to someone who wants to lose zillions of hours on a city builder. For that, we already seem to have Cities: Skylines.

If you can get past the issues of the game design clashing slightly and the limited amount of variation that you actually have on building colonies it's quite a nice game, although if you're looking for a citizen management simulation this is also not the game for you.
