Dev ditched his own Discord after being called out on not doing enough to stop the pedophilic grooming circles on here.

Then put up a plushie kickstarter.

Aight small game on sale. Not really sure how "return to classic AC" it is other than instant stealth kills, more environmental traps (cause modern AC removed most of those for some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason), and being able to set up stealth kills with throwable smokes instead of the defense-only crap of previous modern AC games.

A sub-20 hour 100% although some of the achieves are tedious and buggy.

Up there with Night in the Woods in terms of being a different visual novel that should appeal more to the mainstream than typical "slideshow and dialogue" VNs. Very endearing characters and written in a modern manner that isn't just gyatt fr fr og type pandering. It does lean heavily into the supernatural although this isn't really well defined despite ending up overtaking the relationships in importance, which is at the point my interest sort of dipped. Even skipping through dialogue it'll be a 20 hour game which is a bit much once the novelty wears off.

The modern graphics will make it tolerable for newcomers, switching to the old graphics will reveal to you why it's so soulful. It has the simplicity of 20-30 minute levels that are easily 100%'d if you give yourself the time and the tank controls that support the platforming.

Modern controls suck and they shouldn't even be here, but if it makes a few more people play it, fine. But do not use them. Being slow and clonky is part of it; you're a gymnast trying to not get yourself killed. This is not an action game. No other game has done controls and platforming like this, so you best appreciate the GOAT doing it.

And even if you ignore all that: 3 remastered games, lead by the guy behind the original fan remaster project, at less than €30, compared to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like Turok; ai-upscaled and overpriced, is a steal.

Early Access Review
You know how indies live and die with community engagement? How Early Access is meant to be a way for fans to influence a game?

Radio silence. Not a word. Half years between updates. I'm sure it'll be great at release but til then, ♥♥♥♥ it. Do not engage.

I grew up on Theme Hospital and Two Point Hospital was fun, so Two Point Campus felt promising. Turns out, it isn't very good. Unlike this game, which handles the same concept of creating a school, but instead of a copy-paste clone of a previous game, it's a small-time anime'esque evolution from a wooden hut to a concrete bunker straight out of your favorite anime.

It's a great game. It's already very deep and complex but not overwhelming, which management games often are. You unlock things as you go which is always a pain when you need to go back to replace prior builds, but it's relatively painless in this game. You will see a few odd typos or "Description goes here", but that's barely an issue given how complete the game is. I wouldn't assume it to be a 1.0 game out of Early Access, but if the support and development continues I've no issues with considering it officially released.

Great game; already better than most castlebuilders that die in Early Access.

Kingdom has offered the same game experience for what, 4 games now? This is basically the same. It is however much more episodic and story driven. Each island is custom down to how the coin generating buildings look and the way you beat it is different each time.

Instead of getting a farm or a fishing place, you get a copy-paste coin generating building but it can be a pizza place, arcade, whatever. This simplifies the coin generation and gives more way for combat, which is slightly more engaging in that you don't just send knights off, but one of your companions carry a 'big shield' which your units rally behind. You can move it back and forth and to both sides of the screen etc.

Overall, a much better, simpler, yet more complex introduction to the Kingdom genre. Two Crowns however is still the best 'raw' arcade-like version of the game. This is a reskin spin-off.

Early Access Review
This is basically Stronghold and Rimworld in one, but instead of having 500 difficulty systems, the 'difficulty' lies in the fact it's 3D as opposed to Rimworld's 2D. You'll see a lot of guides about cold storage underground and what not, but that's because it's almost the only 'advanced' mechanic, and with the addition of ladders as opposed to only having stairs previously, it's as easy as digging up one square, putting a ladder, repeating this 2-3 times and making a square room to put food in. Done deal.

It's a great game and gets a ton of updates. You'll see entire mechanics added a few months between, such as sunlight going through windows to allow indoor growing. I buy primarily early access games and this is up there with Subnautica in terms of professionalism and worth-whileness.

If you're like me and love mindless, endless simulator type gameplay; this ain't it. Dredge is an objective-based story game in an eldritch setting with fishing being the primary drive. "I need 3 fish from this area"; done in 8 mins, move on to next area (of which there are 3-4).

Cute game, I'd say worth the price given crap like Choo-Choo Charles (2 hours to 100%) at the same price and it has been rated 'overwhelmingly positive'. This is simple a good, strong, stylized indie. I'd say a must-own if you're into indie games once it reaches €12-14. As of now, anything above €18 is no-go imo.

Easy to 100%, can be done in a saturday or two.
