it's mostly a visual novel, but more like what a visual novel should be.
well-written dialogue, interesting and believable characters, super interesting story, basically a work of art, and i haven't even finished chapter 2 yet! (will update the review once i complete the game)

the artwork is amazing, minigames exist and are the right amount of challenging to not be a mindless bog or annoying, and the music is also nice. it is very clear that a lot of work and love went into this project.

i really hope that future games / visual novels take a slice from this one, because this is how a story should be represented.

This is the first I've ever actually wrote a review for something that is longer than a sentence, but the story told here deserves it. This is, without a doubt, one of, if not one of the best stories in a piece of media I have consumed in quite a bit. I very very rarely cry, but this did it. I don't know if will necessarily click the same way for everyone, but I have a feeling this game will hang around somewhere in my mind for quite a long time.

To all the people seeing people reviewing or finished playing with 8-10 hours of game play, it is actually about double that.

For those with 20hrs of gameplay I will voice one personal (major) spoiler gripe : The writers didn't to leave the Mark and Nicole plot thread so open ended, just out here playing with my heart strings. In my opinion it doesn't fit with how I interrupted the story, If someone has a different take I'd love to hear it, but at the moment I'm just huffing head canon copeium. Even just something subtle would have been enough for me, but damn so close. I think if there is anything that would be worth changed post launch it would be adding in just a small bit of conformation, even just a prolonged stare between the two of something. Straight cope though, I know they won't lmao.

All in all this game may have a couple aspects that are rough around the edges like performance (for some, I had no issue), lack of knowing what a couple mini-games need you to do, and some sketchy mouse and keyboard moments, but that's peanuts compared to everything else. To me, this game is amazing, and I thank everyone that worked to create it, you can truly feel the love and passion that is in this. Plus it's $20, more than worth it at full price to support the devs future en-devours.

I rarely leave a review on Steam but this game...is totally life-changing. I'm a sucker for emotionally damaging games; however, this one just broke me beyond fixing. Nothing could have prepared me enough for the story and the amount of tears wasted. I am literally wasted from crying so badly.

This is a game about loss, grief, friendships, traumas, disasters, and dreams. If you're currently in dark places rn, PLEASE proceed with deep considerations and reach out for help.

The game is beautiful in many instances:
The story kicks off kinda slowly and many plots are placed as if the game is directionless; however, this is fully intentional. As the story goes on, everything becomes clearer and clearer, trust me, you have to see it to the end.
Each character is unique and full of emotions. The flow of conversations is natural and not forced nor rushed.
The total playtime is quite long, around 15-17hrs so please take a break whenever you need to.
The minigames are enjoyable; however, some of them lack proper hints, making the experience quite unpleasant, but that should not be a concern.
The art style and soundtracks are beautiful btw.

The game broke me forever. It's hard to explain but as I was playing it, I couldn't help feeling related to what the characters were going through; in other words, the game really hit home. At some point, it really shows how fragile our lives really are and we could lose someone at any time without a warning. One of my favorite impactful aspects of the game is its ability to convey regret. No matter what we do or wish for, we would never know if what we did was enough or if there'd be anything else we could have done.... the game really got me thinking.


Idk what else to say tbh. This is something you have to experience yourself and I believe my words are not enough to give this piece of art the recognition it deserves. However, to those out there who find themselves related to the story, and to those who are going through some dark times, I wish you all the peace you deserve. Although I don't know you, I believe you guys are the most beautiful people I've ever met and I hope you can have the strength to overcome...to live, and to be happy, again, and over again. I wholeheartedly believe in y'all.
