Kiwami 1 is a faithful remake to the original Yakuza on PS2, with all the bells and whistles of new hardware and software advancements in the decade and a half or so of time. Combat is satisfying enough (button mashing is completely acceptable), with plenty of room to grow Kiryu as a fighter and hone in your own skills learning basic combos and using the Heat Actions, sub-stories are as fun and ridiculous as ever, main story is captivating enough to get you invested in Kiryu, his struggles, goals, ideals, and desires. All the characters are exaggerated wackos with the intensity of having major to minor attachments to the mafia of the time. After having played Yakuza 0 and now Kiwami 1, I can't wait to keep going with Kiryu's story and look forward to the future of the series.

- Story
The story is so investing right from the start, the way it begins letting you take part in narrating your character's story. Then being thrown into a beautiful environment in Wyoming, with nothing but your conscience and the only access to another human connection, a radio. It's truly an experience to be had.

- Visuals & Atmosphere
The beautifully simple appearance of Firewatch is beautiful, so beautiful I've set some screenshots to my wallpaper. So colorful, so lush, so breathtaking, and so freaking immersive. This is one of those games that will visually stand the test of time, just as The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker or Limbo has. There will never be a moment where you stop wanting to just jump into the game. The atmosphere is so amazing, the sound is some of the most impressive audio immersion I've ever experienced, the birds, the wind, the water, it's so unbelievable.

- Conclusion
To finish this off, Firewatch is an awesome story rich game, with a simple concept. It's welcoming environment and heartwarming (or heartbreaking) story is something many games have been lacking in recent years, and I would and will recommend this to anyone for years to come.
