Amazing Mod with Half Life 2 atmosphere at it's best!
Still one of the best games even in 2024!

You don't really have to play this one to play the 2nd. I did anyways and it was a pain in the ass. I don't really want to insult it too much because it did lay the ground work for the 2nd and I respect it for it. But there is so much the game doesn't tell you and expects you to figure out. Like there was no indication or hint anywhere that I was supposed to break a vent and have a manhack go through it to kill a stalker. The game consistently pulls this stuff as well even during the final boss fight. But the points where I was actually playing the game were fun. There's some genuinely hard segments near the beginning that felt nice when I finally got through them. The game made a genuinely fun defense and escort section which is actually really impressive and unique. Honestly the only parts that left a bad taste in my mouth were the very beginning of chapter 3 which was semi confusing and the entirety of chapter 4. Overall good. It just has a few problem points.
