Guys I think Nubby is flirting with me

I have changed my mind at least a half dozen times on if I recommend Helldivers 2 or not. Thankfully it seems like the devs have laid off on endless nerfing of things as a way of balancing and overall the game seems good and stable as of late. So it gets my recommendation.

I really enjoy a lot of the guns and special equipment you can call in. It all feels really good to shoot bugs with, and I encourage you to try as much stuff as possible.

I have had mixed experience with playing with randoms though, it seems like a lot of groups I join only play for a mission before disbanding instead of doing the whole set. That might just be a me luck thing too. This is mostly just annoying because of how you queue with people. I absolutely recommend playing with friends whenever possible.

I think the initial pitch of this game is good. You're a diver that catches fish during the day to sell as sushi at a restaurant you help manage at night. But the game quickly becomes so bloated with 20 different things to juggle that it loses focus to the point of being overwhelming.

The story slogs along and is generally not full of anything more than go to point x to collect y. While working on the story quests, the pace slows down and upgrades to equipment and the restaurant's staff start to feel further apart and I lost a lot of that dopamine steam. At one point I had a morning sequence that lasted well over an hour (this normally averages 15-20 minutes) because I was working on fetch quests for 5 different quests/side objectives.

I think at the end of the day, I just wish this game ended up focusing more on having more than 4 major areas, an interesting combat/enemies/bosses system, and more verity of fish to catch. I can see why many people like this game, but I think it just wasn't for me.

It's that good.

Really good! Its best to go in knowing as little as possible, so you sort of just have to trust the reviews and take the leap of faith to pick this up. I'd say if you like card games or rougelikes -- go for it! I'm not super into a lot of the ARG stuff, but its pretty mild here overall.

The newly added "Kaycee's Mod" builds on top of the game's excellent first act and wraps the package up nicely. I really enjoyed the balance and new decks/cards that they added too.

I'm in the camp of people who think GTA 4 is better than 5. The gameplay/sandbox is great, and I love the setting and vibe of the game overall. It still runs well on modern hardware with some slight tweaks to the settings - A 10 minute Google search got me up and running.

If your interested in playing this game at all, be sure to pick this up before Rockstar does the Rockstar thing and replace this version for a worse "remastered" version that they will inevitably fumble all over.

Its great! And tough as nails if you are into that kind of thing. The art and music are unmatched and we'll likely not see anything like this game for a long while.

The DLC is a great addition too, for sure worth picking up! None of the bosses in the DLC stand above as a favorite compared to some of the base game bosses, but the addition of Ms. Chalice is worth price of admission alone.
