A remake of one of my favourite games of all time, and they managed to make it better in every possible way.
The mid-section of the original was always my favourite part and it still is.

Puzzles are way too obtuse.
This is a point-and-click puzzle game from a few decade2 ago, gameplay wise frustrating and boring

You solve puzzles solely by trial and error. It's impossible to know in advance what a certain button will do.
In the end it's all very repetitive and boring

It would be a good game if it wasn't for some MAJOR gameplay flaws which in the end make it an annoying experience instead of being fun to play.

Unskippable dialog and cutscenes make it really boring to replay the whole game again to see which effect each action has. It's also terribly annoying that if you miss one QTE your whole plan can be ruined and you lose hours of progress.

It's a shame that such poor gameplay decisions are still being made by a game developer that does know how to make a great horror story.

The original was a masterpiece, the sequel improves it in every department.
Better graphics, more diverse puzzles, a bit of open world exploration and a more interesting story overall

My favourite thing about this game is how it handles Space Travel.
I love how fast one can (fast) travel from point A to B.
Finally a space game where you don't spent half of your time flying from one place to another, spending minutes or hours watching your screen doing nothing.

This means you can focus on the things that make a space RPG fun, doing quests, exploring new places, hunting down pirates, building new ships and outposts etc.

It combines all the fun stuff from other space games like Mass Effect (the missions, companions, locations), No Man's sky (building outposts, mining minerals, scanning planets), Everspace 2, etc.

This is already one of my favourite games in the genre, if not the best.

Beware this game doesn't support remapping keys yet.
This means that this game is only playable on a QWERTY keyboard.
