I bought this game on discount during its first discounted sale, which I strongly recommend to anyone to do if you wish to try out the game. The current price tag of $30 U.S / $40 U.S for the deluxe is NOT worth it. It is too high.

Constant Unannounced Server Kicks / Possible Server Restarts: Almost every time I play this game, at some point or another, the game shuts itself down and goes back to the login screen. Often (but not always), my progress is being reset. If the developers are doing this on purpose without announcing it, or the servers themselves for some reason are kicking people, no one knows. The developers have said absolutely nothing about these troubles that I can find. I would have put in more than 20 hours into the game by this point, but the constant kicks are frustrating to the point where I feel annoyed and not willing to log back in after a kick. As this computer and my internet connection Much More than meet the requirements to play this game, and I have verified several times just to be certain that I am not being kicked due to any other reason... Decide for yourselves which of the two possible scenarios this could be. Thumbs and Toes, as well as my neighbor's thumbs and Toes, down. A very, very hard down.

Graphics: The graphics are.... for me... over the top and unnecessary considering that this game is just a puzzle game with a story about the world as a side note. Yes, they do make a pretty game. Yes, there is quite a bit of detail that goes into the game to make it pretty. As I am not one to play a game just because it is pretty, however, the graphics could very easily be scaled back and I would be fine with it. Thumbs down.

Character Customization: You do have the option to somewhat customize your character, and later to spend Experience Points to purchase some different looks (such as changing the halo or the wings). You also can earn some of those customizations by playing the game, which is nice. For these options, a thumbs up.

Ability Options: As you progress through the game, you earn Experience Points by successfully completing puzzles and such. These Experience Points are then used to customize abilities your character can use once it reaches the appropriate level to unlock the ability. For example, one of the abilities you can unlock and then spend Experience on is to be able to jump very high. This can be very useful when you are having trouble jumping up on wall pieces to get higher, for example. There are also options to earn greater Experience for successfully completing certain puzzles without any errors. While you may find some of the abilities useful for your play style, you may also find some of them useless. This does not mean, however, that they are not useless to others. Options is the takeaway keyword here. Thumbs Up for ability options.

Puzzles Galore: This game advertises many, many puzzles, and in that they do not disappoint. There really are a vast number of puzzles available for you to solve in the game. The only downside is that you have to earn Insights into solving some of those puzzles by first solving it. Additionally, the instructions for solving a puzzle are not always clear. When I first encountered a Music puzzle, for example, I had zero idea what I was looking at, how to solve it... The good news is, they do offer you Hints for those puzzles you have trouble with. You can even use your Experience to gain more hints. Thumbs up on plenty of puzzles, but thumbs down due to lack of instructions until after the fact. Unfortunately, not everyone is a puzzle genius. I certainly am not and freely admit it. These puzzles do also have a rating system, using diamonds at the bottom of the screen while inside the puzzle and sometimes large balls on the screen over the puzzle when in the world itself. The rating system, however, makes little sense to me. I can do a puzzle rated at 4 dots and easily complete it... Turn around and do the exact same type of puzzle rated at 2 dots and it is much more difficult to complete. I have found that I am not alone in this confusion. Thumbs down on the rating system.

Disappearing Puzzles: There is one particular thing that I do feel needs mentioning. Every time I log into the game, I find that many of the puzzles I had not yet done are gone. Replaced or just missing entirely. There are match cube puzzles that are missing, only to have been replaced with new ones in different locations. There are puzzles where you have to follow a spark of light that are gone, and sometimes randomly reappear after one of those mysterious server reboots. The puzzle change out is annoying to me, and as far as I am aware, is not supposed to be happening according to the game description.

Story: The game does offer a story as to why your character is there, and as you progress through the world you find out more about the story. Unfortunately, the story feels like an afterthought, as if they decided at the last minute to stick a story into the game to appeal to roleplayers and others that like games with a good story in it. Thumbs down.

In the end, only you can decide if you want to play the game or not. I do hope to be able to change my review in the future, as the game does have potential. However, at this state and with the constant game reboots.... I never like to tell someone not to play a game unless it is very obvious the game is not worth it and it is old enough to say that with validity.

In this instance, I shall tell you this: If you wish to play, buy it at a discount. Do not pay full price.

I don't know why this is an MMO, sometimes you disconnect from the server and load times are ages even on an SSD.

That said the puzzles are great, not a huge fan of the fractals but I think I'm getting better at them?
