Early Access Review
I want to say Yes I recommend this but honestly I also want to say NO. It's basically Animal Crossing set in Australia, there's no innovation at all except for maybe the fact you can fight the wildlife like crocodiles and random bush devils. Yes there are mechanics like trapping and going to the mines but the dialogue and chat system and museum thing down to it is all just Animal Crossing. There's no story although they set up some elaborate thing about South City being a drab place etc and it just feels like for people who wanted Animal Crossing but with worse decorating, uglier furniture and more crafting and fighting mechanics. Which isn't a bad thing but it just feels meh. I would say it's good with co-op but there's a bug where if your friend disconnects halfway they lose all their gold spent but don't get it back. So it's very annoying, at least even Stardew just saves their items. The art style also is kind of chibi but not cute enough to be attractive. I don't regret buying this for $15 but honestly I am not that impressed by it. Maybe if I slap some mods on it and like it more.

The game is boring than I thought, monsters are stale and the cards are not fun to use. The combo mechanic and perfect score also isn't interesting.

Pros:
- Interesting concept of 1v4 killer
- Large community (on NA EU)
- Very interesting killers and varied perks

Cons:
- Badly done tutorials
- No rank mode vs casual mode
- You lose your item when you die so even if everyone escaped but you it feel like a loss in a team game
- Very dark, just turn up your brightness
- You can die to a killer with no idea how you died
- You can lose to a 4 man team with no idea how you lost
- Not hearing impaired/visual impaired friendly as you need to see tracks + hear survivors breathing

I'd just suggest if you're from Asia to play Identity V which is free and on mobile + PC rather than this. IDV also has way more support and a competitive scene in Asia (NA EU can also play but their competitive scene needs some work). A lot of the beginner traits like a trait which highlights windows, pallets are also not given for free but from characters that you need to buy which is sad. But this is still a fun game with friends don't get me wrong I just prefer Identity V which is way more user friendly.

I love the game but it suffers from lack of GUI clarity. A lot of the positive reviews are just those scraping barely 20 hours at most into the game. The more you play you will realize there's a lot of small things which are very frustrating like the bad charms given almost at every part, skipping characters depending on what path you choose. And speaking of GUI, it's very chaotic with up to 12 characters on the board and having to control everyone. While it's great in concept and art style I think they need more GUI improvements to the game. Slay the Spire is still top tier in terms of gameplay. There's a REASON why it gets so many negative reviews, and the people who came here hearing it's hard and are like "well I beat it so it's not hard" are not looking at the fundamentals of why it's hard. It's ANNOYING having to keep track of everyone on the board and sometimes having bad RNG on bosses with the bells like the charms giving smackback to a boss that hits 7x will make you understand why it's unbalanced.

As early access it's fun but it does need more polish. They need to rethink the UI because if the player is going to be having the same things over and over it has to flow better. I would also love it if you have a toggle if you can see the inside/outside of buildings. I want to be able to see everything at a glance and also see the lovely handdrawn interior and what my animals are up to, not a boring wood exterior. Not sure why it's tied to zooming in only. Being able to see what my animals get as bonuses from meals would be great. A UI showing all the bonuses given that day would be great too rather than having to mouse over anything. But since it's in early access I won't gripe too much and it's free. I do hope the devs can play their own game for hours and see the pain points because the players will be doing the same, a good UI is really neccessary for this when it's essentially clicking and task management.

If you loved Rune Factory 4 or 3, Harvest Moon, My Time at Portia or Stardew Valley, there is a high chance to love this game. The writing is very well done and it made me smile a few times. It's very engaging and while a few of the gags are just loud screaming, in general the jokes are interesting, the lighthearted tone is perfect and the sarcasm so far is never over the top. I look forward to all the side quests and NPC and really enjoyed every second I played this.

Cooking is the main part and about combo-ing different ingredients to get the synergy for points. All of the dishes look amazing and you can get the ingredients all by farming or fishing. A tip is to make a chest for every item you get so you can have excess of it and be able to experiment with all the dishes you can make. There is plenty to do in this game and on sale it's worth every penny. Some gripes I wish are that there is a recipe book but as most of the recipes are procedurally generated it's understandable. I wish there was at least an encyclopedia of all the ingredients you found, so far I'm throwing everything into a chest to be able to see all the synergies at once. In the first few cooking battle they will tell you and give you hints exactly what to cook which is great and prevents loss of ingredients to get it right the first time. But later on not all cooking battles tell you so you have to go in and lose once to see the enemy's strategy or try and bring as many ingredients in your bag. The game rewards you for exploring and I haven't played a story game and had so much fun in a while.

I think my only minor gripes so far are that it isn't exactly kid-friendly with some inuendoes and names and alsothe female characters looks like 2 balls are stuck on their chest with the low poly modelling. I don't know if Team 17 has had women in their team but if they do I really don't know how this 2 angular balls on the chest got approved especially with some lines referencing how they dress and half the women showing their 2 low poly chest balls off. If it was kid friendly I'd recommend it to everyone, the tone of the game would be exactly something I'd love to play when I was younger too like Rune Factory. Another gripe is the animal slaughter machine takes up too much space. The mixers and sauce machine are big but somewhat bearable as they look decent but the slaughter machine looks really ugly so I ended up just putting it away and only using it when I needed the meat. It's just not pretty to look at. Those two aren't a big issue as overall the graphics are fantastic and it runs great. I loved all the modelling of the villa, the beach and it's all really pretty.

Overall if the game is fixed and improved on these quality of life things I would recommend it to everyone if you like Rune Factory 4, My Time at Portia or cooking and farming games with comedic undertones and cute graphics. It's really fun despite my minor complaints. I'm really glad this was recommended to me.

The concept of running a SCP facility is very well-thought out and going into the game blind has been an amazing experience. So far the story and the multiple Sephiraph you meet are great. However what this game really needs is an auto-save. You have to always keep in mind all the different SCP's requirements so they don't instantly go on a rampage and sometimes it's very frustrating when you have been playing for 20 or 30minutes and they just rampage and kill half your factory. While the game encourages you to reset as you keep the knowledge and employees it still takes up a lot of time spend micro managing and having to redo. I suggest playing this game blind and go in with some optimization mods. It's still very fun and every Abnormality I meet I am excited and fearful.

I wanted to like this game and it's fun but honestly you should buy Slay the Spire over this. The art is cool but that's it, there is no art for all your skills. It's just text after text which makes it not so fun to read. There is also the health in form of level up and getting the apple, that's all the strategy it is. It's not really as fun navigating the world. Not much replay value, after I beat a level I don't feel the urge to replay. I also don't know why they keep showing you the roulette with you getting the singular death out of all the luck at the end of every run. It's very annoying and wastes a lot of time showing me something repeated. I wish you can skip it. I don't feel like it's worth to finish a run cuz I just get a few lines of text and the dumb roulette. Just something about this game is unsatisfying, either get it on sale or buy another game instead. I rate it 6/10. Don't regret buying but it's not that great.

Doesn't have proper keyboard support and no way of rebinding the keys. The developers are just LAZY. They don't even have a guide for which keys are meant to be used in place of controller so I was stuck at the loading screen. Why even release a game for STEAM if you're not going to have proper keyboard or keybinding? Just plain lazy and uncaring devs.

It's a charming turn based battle game! You take control of 3 characters and you fight against monsters. You have a choice to customize your loadouts and the game ends when you fight through all the deliveries. The art is cute and stylized and the strategy is pretty fun. The tutorial is straightforward, if you like card games like Hearthstone, Magic the Gathering etc or strategy battle games like Slay the Spire you will like it. Maybe the only issue is that all the loadouts you get is all there is at the start. While there's room for tweaking and trial and error to perfect the final team, it would be nice to have had the stuff be unlocked later on or progressional. Just try it, it's a short and sweet battle game!
