The Story of Teammate 2: Gambling For Knives
On the 3rd of May, at around 12:00 GMT, this account took upon the monicker of Teammate 2, the counterpart to Teammate 1.
Together, they did not strike fear into the hearts of Silver rank Wingman players, since they messed around too much. However on the occassional off-games, they did indeed have their moments. A comment made by РУБАКА76 still stands as a testiment to the rage of Teammate 1 and 2's victims. Many sniper headshots were hit, many clutch Ace's, many knife kills.

However, the duo was quite disfunctional. Teammate 1 was an enjoyer of the streamer "ohnePixel", and Teammate 2 was a man with a loaded wallet.
Teammate 1 whispered sweet lies into Teammate 2's ear; not out of malice, but out of the need for relatable entertainment. "Kilowatt cases are the new thing, Teammate 2". "There is a huge ROI on Kilowatt cases, Teammate 2". And Teammate 2 absorbed the lies and was corrupted. It started with small investments of 10 and 25 euro. After receiving his first pricey skin, the M4A1-S Black Lotus (Minimal Wear), Teammate 2 saw the potential. Teammate 2 kept investing. Until the addiction completely took over.

In just a matter of days, Teammate 2 started gambling away 50 and even 100 euros every so often in hopes of receiving more expensive skins. Rumors state that prices of Kilowatt and Phoenix cases increased because of Teammate 2 buying out all the stock, and then selling those same skins to buy more cases. Field Tested after Field Tested. Blue Tec-9 skin after Blue Tec-9 skin (Which was eventually called the Tec-9 curse) Until one day, reality hit Teammate 2. Teammate 2 realized he had a gambling problem after looking at his account balance and realizing that what used to be "The Hobby", is now slowly chipping away at the money saved up until the day he gets his drivers license. Now Teammate 2 has a new goal, a story to finish. Make all the money back by gambling smarter, and get enough value for his inventory to where all of his invested money can be brought back to his account.

He carefully kept studying ROI's, trade-ups, and used them to support (and therefore, justify) his shameful habit. However, it all changed. After investing another 50 euros, on the 19th of May, at around 18:55 GMT, the unthinkable happened.

Flashback to earlier that day:

Teammate 1 and 2 decided to meet up since it was a very hot spring day. The sun was shining, the air was 26 degrees hot, and the thought of going to the lake was very enticing. So Teammate 1 and 2 met up and went to take a cold plunge in the lake. All was well with lots of fun had. After heading back to Teammate 1's house, Teammate 2 stepped into the shower while listening to Nacho Picasso's "Money":
"Today is a nice day. I think I should make it even better by opening up some cases, who knows what could happen. It just feels right to do it now." - Teammate 2 thought to himself while washing off the lake-residing parasites.

And so, after the drive back to his city apartment, Teammate 2 poured another 50 cases into his steam wallet after seeing that the price for Kilowatt cases dropped under a euro. He bought 15 Kilowatt cases and gets Teammate 1 on call, as per the ritual. This time, Teammate 2 is too exhausted from the swimming to shout "Gold, Gold, Gold!" while letting the skins zoom past on his monitor, so he just sits there in silence staring at the monitor. For the first time ever he was completely silent opening cases. He gets a blue SSG skin, a blue UMP skin, a purple nova skin, a purple MP7 skin.
"Honestly, nothing can ruin this day for me, even if this MP7's field tested."

For the first time ever, he sat in silence. And for the first time ever, a golden hue appeared on his screen as he was opening cases. Teammate 2 thought nothing of the gold hue, thinking the line wouldn't land on it. But the wheel stopped spinning, and the line was on it. The Kukri Knife. Which eventually took upon the colors of a Slaughter knife. Teammate 1 was yelling in disbelief, while Teammate 2 was exhausted and, therefore, confused - thinking that this day would never come. And even though he was hoping, he definitely didn't believe this already amazing day would bring him a knife. He stared at it in silence before starting to laugh, while shooting a glance to his other monitor, seeing how expensive that knife is; he also realizes that the knife looks quite... fresh. He checks the float to notice that it is minimal wear. Teammate 2 is elated, as he definitely just received back a hefty sum of what he paid to Gaben. However, his story is not yet over as he still hasn't received back the other part of his investments.

Teammate 2 still has a couple of cases left. He says to Teammate 1: "There's not even a point in opening this, I have already reached the apex. I'm opening them just because I bought them already."
Teammate 2 opens another couple of purples, before going back to blues. He chuckles as he gets another Tec-9 - even after the Curse was broken by the knife, the gun still haunts him. Teammate 2 opens another case... and the unthinkable happens.
A second knife. A second knife drops for Teammate 2. He starts dry heaving. Confused. He could hardly believe the first knife was real, but... a second one?
A Case Hardened Stat-trak Kukri knife definitely did drop, and the combined prices of the two knives are enough to give him a minor profit over what he invested into CS2. Teammate 2 realizes that he has finished the story. It is over.

With shaky hands after this monumental victory, and a lost sense of purpose, Teammate 2 decides to play a match with Teammate 1 to see the knives in-game. However, Teammate 2 felt no desire to compete. He was glad that he gained all of the lost money back, and even received a small sum as interest for the investment. The game was lost 1-9 due to the lack of morale, and after quitting to the title screen, Teammate 2 notices that he has de-ranked to Silver 3. After thinking for a little bit, Teammate 2 decided that his story is over, there is nothing more left for him to accomplish. He will wait for the tradelock to sell his knives, and be done with gambling as he had envisioned. His story is complete.

16 days - 610e invested. Roughly 800 euros made back.
