A really fun dungeon crawler. Good mix of classes. Fun and engaging combat. Pretty decent variety of enemies even though I've only seen the first map. Doesn't seem to have a forced PvP system like Dark and Darker does which IMO will end up having a bigger and longer lasting player base. Hope they keep leaning into the PvE side of the game with more maps, content, loot, and enemies to face.

The game has an interesting concept for gameplay. There aren't many games that have a tough, forced first-person, dungeon experience. The issue what will keep this a small niche game is the forced PvP and massive advantage veteran players will have over any new players trying to join in. On top of that you have similar games like Dungeonborne that are arguably more fun and engaging with PvP being an opt-in rather then a forced-in system.

Currently I wouldn't recommend investing a ton of time in Dark and Darker. Hope this changes in the future and this gritty game embraces and leans into it's challenging PvE content.

Honestly a good game. Runs well. Looks good. Interesting and fresh in the survival-builder genre because of this whole deviant system. Definitely needs a positive review to overcome some silly negative bombing over either a twitter post or a bug that was fixed immediately after launch.

Just great fun for you and a few friends. Strong Starship Troopers and Terminator vibes.

Still probably one of the best open world sandbox survival crafting games I've played. Really robust crafting system. Not only do you craft the items but you can improve most items over time as your skills improve.

Cons: Hard learning curve for solo new players but very rewarding if you can stick with it and use the CA HELP chat channel in game for questions, help, and guidance.

I can see why people compare this to No Man's Sky or Star Citizen.

It lacks the full open world feel of the previous games mentioned, however it's very well polished and has great stories. It really is a great space RPG.

It's fun, it's free, and you can play it on mobile as well. What's not to like? :P

If Red Dead Redemption was set in the 14th-15th century it would be this game. Great voice acting, great story, fun gameplay. Better character development as well.

If you liked Grounded you will love Smalland. A great big Smalland is out there ready for you to explore. There are different biomes and POIs that are interesting to explore throughout the world. Challenging combat with many deadly insects.

Pros:
Doesn't feel like you are grinding for materials just to build a small base
Challenging combat without being overwhelming or too punishing
Story and quests to help guide you around the map
Encampment system makes moving your base around the map quick and easy

Cons:
No leveling stat/skill system for character customisation
No fast travel system
Tamed bugs are helpful but feel very weak

The game play style is similar to Eve Online as you skill up your character in various ways to pilot better robots either into combat or as part of the player economy. However, unlike Eve, active playing is well rewarded. You can progress your character quicker and there is always content to be had. This game has been going for many years and now might be the best time to pick it up and play.
