This game is essentially dynasty warriors but with the fate franchise and much more in depth character customization.

First off they have advanced the formula of the first extella game tremendously for link.
The game mechanics have been developed to a much deeper level along with polished graphics.

Character customization is much more in depth, a new active skill system has been introduced, skills have cooldowns and can be remapped to any button as well as swapping skills in and out as you unlock new ones.

The instant skill system is back, remains the same as the first game albeit with added new ones put in.

You have a base of operations in this game, where you can do all your customization as well as "mass talk" to all of your servants as you develop your bond with them.

There is a system in the game where you can trade money for levels and the cost of leveling is reasonable, due to the amount of servants in game the mechanic is a welcome necessity.

Many new servants are available in this game, new enemy types have been added in, the battle stages are much more detailed.

extella manouvers no longer exist and has been replaced with a moon drive system. you activate the moon drive state which buffs your stats while active and every kill contributes to your noble phantasm meter. this is how you achieve noble phantasms in link.

Overall i am very impressed with how far they have pushed the formula and developed on the first game, this is leaps and bounds better and a worthy sequel to the umbral star.

PS: if you havent played the first game you wont miss out on anything, the game has a little catch up feature which doesnt take long to read, plus the story in link is new so you dont need to know the lore from the first game to know whats going on.

Well worth buying if you like hack and slash or dynasty warrior style games.
