First things first.

Specs details on the store page are misleading and raising expectations and confusing people.

"This game is expected to run at 1080p / 60 fps (with Frame Generation enabled) under the "Medium" graphics setting."
Then it lists RTX2060 - Doesn't have frame Generation

Only RTX 4 and 5 Series have frame generation available.

I have no mean system

I7 8086K
32GB ram
RTX 4070

I am running the game at 3440x1440 on High and with out Frame Gen at DLSS quality I get 60-70 FPS

With Frame Gen on I get 90-120 FPS

I am seeing a lot of people complaining about FPS etc on RTX 3 series or below.

My friend has a

I7 12700K
64GB ram
RTX 3080

He gets on High at DLSS quality 60-70 FPS, HE CAN'T TURN ON Frame Gen.

So likely the issue isn't so much the game but the specs being wrong.

If you are on a RTX 3070 you are likely going to get 40-50 fps at 1080p. sorry but that is just the way it is.

The talk of Frame Generation on the specs page etc has complicated and evaded from the facts with what people should expect.

I personally because I can use Frame Gen and DLSS have no issue with the game. And I am enjoying it.

This makes Diablo 4 seem like it was written by Sweet Baby Inc.

Fantasy turn based destruction, not for everybody, but looking for a twist on the Civ esq type game might just be what you need.

Good title if killing zombies and 3D tower defence is your thing. Voxel Environment which can be manipulated and shaped with tools. Good managed progression via internal achievements, which teaches the basics.

Down side is the single player aspect is a once or twice maximum for most people, A trusted community is required via a server for maximum replay value.

XBOX is the issue, not Bethesda.

Ok time to be serious, let's face it, this is the first Bethesda game that was pegged to come out on Xbox day 1. Usually PC first and ported to console months later.

Suspicious minds like myself believe they were building a game to match previous Fallout/Oblivion games. I honestly think MS waded in and made changes to make the game playable not only on the Xbox SX but the Xbox SS.

Given the limitation they are likely the root cause of the loading screens and limited open world travel options, I will review the game based on the enjoyment and fun factor. I believe the BS that has caused the main area of issue people have is not the fault of the game.

Overall the game itself from a things to do and fun to be had is a typical Bethesda game. And from this angle alone its a clear winner with many hours of fun to be had

However taking the whole game into account including the BS I suspect is related to limitations added by MS for the Xbox's.

Let's hope we see a no mans sky comeback on this one and they release some sort of PC only special edition. Thus giving them the scope to take advantage of the PC hardware out there and gives us the game it always meant to be.

NOT this hacked up how do we optimise this to run on the consoles day one edition.

The price of this game is beyond ridiculous.

For every hour you play, you'll need 6 hours of therapy. It's not included in the price.

These are the phrases used by people that haven't played the game, or played it past chapter 4.
The game is not your standard game by any means.
If you go into this expecting action and sniper rifles you will be very disappointed.

Treat this game as a change of pace, something to play when you want to wind down and chill. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes and perfect score to compliment them. Yes there is action but it almost plays third place to the story, which I will not spoil in any way. I will however say one thing about it.

Don't do drugs!
What a plot and the twists. OMG! and then the emotion involved in the story, with the subtle messages about society and it's failings are brilliant.

In summary.

If you're of the cracked phone screen generation and need instant gratification from a game like COD or PUBG, move along. However if you are capable of enjoying a game for its differences and story, 100% a MUST play.
