what can i say besides i wish i played his earlier than i did. it has been easily one of my most favorite games i've ever played, even during a time of grief to return to again. the initial release was very rocky, but like many developers and games i've enjoyed in the past, they've proven themselves to reiterate and improve. reiterate and improve did not come at a cost, what you pay for the base game is everything there is, no expacs, dlcs, skins, you name it. i'll enjoy this seemingly last expedition rush currently happening, and whatever i can in the future as they progress to other game/s.

edit: revisiting this review, not only have they done more "redux"s for people who missed out on expeditions, but they keep adding more. the more comes with MORE content to the game as well, not just a checklist to keep you going. you would think this game would feel bloated at a point, but it all ties into its parts so perfectly. things still feel mysterious and fun to me, almost 300 hours later.
