A well done story-driven stealth game. Rushing in is always death, so you have to work around your enemies. The puzzles in the game are pretty simple. The game is very linear, so replaying will be for completionists only.

I don't know where I'm going, I can't cast spells cause voice recognition hates me, the bugs are everywhere, and I'm confused.

Good game.

Originally I wasn't too impressed with this game. It felt like had *sorta* stuck to same principles as Layers of Fear, while turning it into a survival horror game.

Adding in safe mode changes it more into the psychological horror game I was expecting. It now feels more like Layers of Fear did, just in a different setting.

I don't need a second MMO, but this is fun to mess around when you're bored. Great community behind it.

I was happy when this came up in the Humble monthly. Just over an hour in and I've been enjoying myself so much. The characters are funny, the gameplay is good, the music is catchy, and I can't wait to continue. Very reminiscent of Mario games.

The first 30 min of this game I had little clue what I was supposed to do. I'm still not entirely sure what is going on but there are plenty of people trying to kill me. Overall, lots of fun.

Edit:
I'm coming back to this review after much more game experience. There's quite a bit to explore in the game, which is fun. The dialogue options are pretty dull, though the overall story is fairly engaging. The boss fights have some variety to them which required me to adapt to using different skill and weapons to succeed. I enjoyed this game, but I can see how not everyone will like this.

I really enjoyed this game. The visuals and music are enchanting as you travel through Urralia. The combat isn't the most difficult, but the boss battles are challenging enough to make it feel rewarding.

Compared to its successor, Stories: The Path of Destinies, this game has much better optimization and more focus in the game. The combat is somewhat improved upon and the art can be fully enjoyed without the game glitching out on you. There isn't so much humor in this game though, but you also get far fewer repeats of the same story over and over. Even returning the same areas is a different experience each time.

Overall I think this a fabulous game and I would recommend it to any who are interested.

Edit:

I've come back to this after the definitive edition update. The new content is fantastic. If you already played the game, go back and see the new stuff. If you're new to it, you'll enjoy the whole story. The new content starts after you already finished (bonus for returning players) and allows you to dive back into the world of Urallia, reviewing the paths and stories you missed in order to find even more details. There's a new ending to view as well, as well as some changes to the omensight that I found very interesting to work with.

The is still a wonderful example of art and I encourage all to give it a try.

Got this for free during a dev giveaway. I am so glad I gave this game a chance because I was laughing the whole time I played it. The world is gorgeous and the voice actor does an amazing job with the narration. There are definitely some optimization issues and few bugs still but it's worth the playthrough. Not super challenging but very fun. Would recommend a controller for this game as it makes for smoother gameplay. Highly recommend this game.

This game has different controls than you might be used to, but once you get the hang of combat its a pretty nice game with okay graphics and an interesting story behind it.

Got this from humblebundle. Good game, nice story so far. Bit hard to figure out the controls and what you're supposed to be doing at first. Also fair warning, DO NOT set the brightness way down. While it adds to the creep factor, I can't see anything.
